Penny's Waikiki- Malasadas - Honolulu - Photo album

Had Malasadas here and also at Leonard's bakery. The Malasadas here is quite good and close to Leonard's. You get 3 for $10 and choose 3 different flavours. They were fresh and hot. Loved the original custard and cream Malasadas. I would recommend going here!
I heard about this place in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center food court, and we were in the area so we tried it! Interesting that you have to order in 3s (3, 6 or 12). We opted for the regular sugar coated malasadas, and chose to fill it with ube cream, Nutella cream, and their special of the day
I've been wanting to try a malasada for a while and found this location on Yelp. I stayed in Waikiki, and it was a 5 min walk from where I was at. I ordered a cinnamon, Nutella & strawberry cream malasada--the first bite of the strawberry cream melted in my mouth. Before I knew it, 10 seconds had pa
Get ‘em while they’re hot! These malasadas are a must try in Honolulu. Coconut or custard…they are all good. Yummy for breakfast.
Like a cross between a doughnut and beignet. The filling is warm, which is not my preference but works here. Recommend the coconut cream or custard cream.
Solid malasadas- they come out very hot and fresh. Personally I like a malasada with more chew, and these are really light and fluffy. The guava filling was yummy though and better than the Leonard's guava filling forsure- significantly stronger fruitier flavor. Worth a try if you're nearby and don'
Some of the best malasadas I have had!! Fresh and delicious!!
Very impressed with the quality of malasadas but also the quality of service. I walked up to the counter in the middle of what appeared to be a bit of a lunch rush, you could tell Penny's was very busy. But they still took their time to kindly explain to me the daily specials and recommendations. I
We don't get these back home so it was a good experience for us. Good portion size and tasted great (even after 24 hours). Only issue we had was an order had to be 3 or 6 in a box, and it was next to impossible for us to eat all 3 completely during our trip.
No idea what this was. Just that it looked like donuts with fillings. Decided to give it a try. Comes in a box of 3 and you can mix-n-match any flavours. O.M.G...its really good! Freshly made when ordered... Perhaps tats the difference. Soft chewy texture with just the right amount of sugar coatin
What a little hidden gem. The staff were so helpful. Explained how the are made to order. Still warm. Must try Nutella, Custard, and strawberry shortcake! So fresh, so good. @food_from_the_usa #foodfromtheusa
I liked the fact that it was fresh everything was made after order was put in. I tried coconut cream, Ube cream, and pumpkin pie cream I think they were ok. The filling wasn’t exactly custard consistency they were too watery. This is still a good place to try, but I would still prefer Leonard’s base
This is very fresh, hot served, and delicious. The good taste is still in my mind. I wish we have it here in Virginia 🥲. I tried the Nutella cream and custard filling, it was so yummy 😍. I recommend it to anyone visiting the Waikiki beach area, even if you are on a diet you won't regret it😄.
On the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center in the food court. Freshly cooked malasadas (Hawaiian donuts) we got the 3 portion with cinnamon sugar. They were freshly cooked, so light and fluffy. Next time i would get the stuffed ones as i think this would enhance this even more.
A must go!!!! Who would have ever thought that you would find the best donuts in a mall food court. These are absolutely amazing and we will probably get them a second time before we leave.
