Review Hi Tea Cafe - Honolulu

I was introduced to this as a backup plan from someone that cooked for me. It's not like home cooked food I'll give you that. However it's a good place to eat. The food is not bad. I bought an order of chicken chow fung and fried rice. The chicken chow fun is good and I can separate that into four meals. Honestly I haven't tried the fried rice I will eat that in the morning. The people that work there quite friendly and explain as much as they can and they seem to try extra to make sure that you're happy with your food. I've seen that on every occasion. The verdict still out on the fried rice but chicken chow Fung I say go for it. It's some of the best that I've eaten that you buy at a restaurant.

HiTea Cafe is located at Lanai at the shopping mall area near Macy’s. I ordered Shrimp Chow Fun and it actually had about 10 shrimps! The chow fun was not too salty and made with rice noodle.

It was fresh and tasty. There are generous amount of sea food in the plate. I will go back when shopping at the Ala Moana next time.

Food was tasty and light, that is not a heavy in the stomach after eating sensation. Lots of choices for the tea drinks,

Cheap and big serving. We like the House Crispy Noodles with Chicken.

Came here couple of times, both teas and smoothies are very nice. Can't see why this place is less than 4 stars. Maybe it's improving over time!

Believe it or not, but this boba tea place has really good Chinese food. You might miss it on the menu as their tea offerings dominate their menu board, but there is a good assortment of dishes to order to suit just about anyone's Chinese food craving. The thing I like is that the food is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh. You get a good serving and it is very tasty. So far I have tried 4 different dishes and all of them were very good. Chinese food has a bad reputation for being greasy, but being that is made to order, you isn't heavy at all. If you want something on the light or healthier side, they do offer vegetarian, chicken, and seafood dishes as well. It is really surprising to find such good food at this place that focuses on boba teas. They do offer a combo special if you order a dish and a tea together. Even though it is made to order, the wait time is minimal. The staff are all friendly when taking your order despite the busy tea preparations they are whipping out constantly. So if you are in the mood for some Chinese takeout and are in the mall, go check out this place. It isn't like going to Chinatown for the good stuff, but is sure beats Panda Express any day!

Solid place for Chinese food inside of The Lanai located at Ala Moana. The beef chow fun had a generous amount of ingredients. We also enjoyed the house crispy noodles and milk teas.

Solid fried noodles dishes. I’ve tried Singapore fried noodles and chicken chow fun and now I’m addicted. You could also add a milk tea for extra $3.25.
