After all these years, its sad to see this place closing due to the economic turmoil. A typical Hawaii company with friendly employees. We will miss the smell of baked products while driving by πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

this place is awesome I love going there to get bread and stuff they also had other food items that are kind of limited but they also had drinks and they accept EBT which is awesome but yeah screw going to the grocery store and paying for $5 for a loaf of bread when you can go directly to the place that makes the bread get it freshly made and for a tenth of the price .

Located corner of Middle St & N King entrance to parking on Middle Street and open 7days a week! If u haven't gone here for 🍞 your missing out. Depending on your personal freshness you pay anywhere from $.99 - 3.89 a loaf of 🍞. There is a loyalty program to take advantage after filling out a card that your able to choose an item from there MANAGERS RACK for $.25. You can basically find from Sourdough, Rye, Wheat and more or from Hamburger buns to Hot dog buns there's a few choices available at a great price!

Discounts abound at this thrift store right outside the main Bakery. If you're looking at thrift store bread, this is as fresh as thrift store bread can get! They no longer do double stamps when you bring your own bag, but the stamp reward program is still there. Fill up your stamp card, and select an item from the manager's rack for only $0.25. It's a deal! Free parking. 10% senior discounts. Animal bread deals here (because you know you just want to feed the pigeons *somewhere* in beautiful Hawai'i nei! Fun for the kids at the zoo!). Open until 6, which is great for after-work stops. Credit cards accepted. However, best to bring cash. Check your receipt! Have been overcharged there for some things, though cashiers will usually correct without problems if you catch it before leaving the store. Not a deal-breaker and I don't think it is in any way intentional. Very nice customer service overall.

Absolutely love getting bread & pastries from Love's Bakery. The prices are more than fair especially that whole tray for Animal consumption only like $5 for like 8-10 loaves... Plenty for feed the fishes & birds.

I love the deals this place has. Every $10 gets you a free item off a certain rack, like a box of donut or bag of bagels or loaf of bread. They were out of what I was looking for which was Ding Dongs but all good.

Is this true?... I'm so sad to hear. After 170 years of bread baking, LOVES BAKERY will be closing their door's end of March 2021. I've grown up with LOVES bread, doughnut, sweet bread, you name it they always had it available. It was on every store shelf or bread rack. I'm gonna miss the sweet smell of bread baking when I pass Middle Street. This tiny store in Kalihi helped the community and homeless with their hope of bread. I salute you with great taste of bread baking and childhood memories of LOVES BAKERY!

This is where the magic happens. Where the hard work is put in and many loaves of Love are churned out around the clock. Bread and lots of it isn't all Love's is about, but for many of us who were born and raised in the Islands of Hawaii this is what you were raised on. There variety of bread has grown throughout the years and bread and baked goods isn't all they are about. They are a well known establishment in Hawaii that employs and has employed many of Hawaii's hard working residents through its many years of service to Hawaii's communities across the islands. With the cost of living going up and up and up and up. Hawaii tops the list of one of the most expensive places to live. Sandwiches were always on the menu though when you were growing up and chances are many of your sandwiches were made with Love's bread. And one of Loves dedicated team members played a part in that bread, that baked good, that lunch, dinner, snack or breakfast toast with butter and jelly making it to your sack or plate and to your tummies. Thank you Loves for being a big part of Hawaii and the many lives you have touched through so many years of goodness.

Absolutely the best place on the island to get your carb/bread fix on the cheap. Watch the expiration dates, buy only what you'll eat right away, or freeze the rest to extend shelf life. If you buy $10 worth you can get an item free off the Manager's shelf & ask for their frequent buyer card to get another free item after you fill that card out. They sometimes even have Love's powdered sugar doughnuts too... Mmmmm!!

Great discounts at the Loves Bakery Thrift Store! Right outside the Loves Commercial Bakery Plant on Middle St.. Fresh baked and day old bread, doughnuts, snack cakes, cookies, Little Debbie snack cakes, Loves Brand as well as generic, Walmart, store brands, Department of Defense Commissary and private label at discounted prices. Be sure to ask for a frequent shoppers rewards card, fill it up with stamps and get discount and free bakery items selected by the Manager. They don't have or sell shopping bags so be sure to bring your own shopping bags or cardboard boxes with you. They do accept SNAP EBT, Credit and Debit Cards.
