Old school local food. Lots of options and specials. BBQ Burgers, saimin, and plate lunches are some of the best you’ll find. Can get good ole Green River drink too. Haven’t been for breakfast, but looking to grab the Hawaiian sweet bread French Toast.

Good budget meal plate lunch. Look for coupons in local Star Advertiser paper. Takes credit cards with $10 min but no Apple Pay. Has own parking lot and shaded booth seating. Andrew Zimmerman recommended Japanese plate lunches.

Had an event in the area so we stopped by this iconic local drive in for dinner. We of course ordered the Japanese Plate Deluxe, which was $1 off (until Dec 24th), so instead of $12.50 it was only $11.50! What a deal even without the discount! What other plate lunch has sashimi, mochiko chicken, teri beef AND tempura?! It was definitely like a mini buffet that won't break your wallet! We also ordered a Loco Moco off the breakfast menu (cool that you can order this at night) but it could've definitely used more gravy. Other than that, winner winner chicken dinner!

The food is quite good. I had the Ahi with rice and macaroni elbow and fruit punch. Very unassuming little place and priced reasonably too

Food is great! Outdoor seating was blocked so we had to eat it elsewhere. 😟

I've been going to St. Louis Drive Inn for many many years now. Service is always GREAT!!! I wished they would reopen their outdoor tables and chairs? You really can't go wrong with their prices! Super affordable!!! The food for the most part has stayed pretty consistent... I would've given them a total of 5 stars if they could get their RICE right! I don't know who they have making their rice... I probably grab food here more than a few times every month and their rice is constantly bad! Either 1/2 hard(undercooked) 1/2 mushy, mushy with hard crunchy edges or all mushy! When I say mushy... it's close to being okai! If they get someone to ace the rice... I'll change my review to 5 star local style food!!! Oh and make sure to go to the Okazuya next-door in the mornings! Super BOMB!!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Meatloaf, spareribs, turkey, Hawaiian plates all pretty ono. Seafood bento, cannot go wrong! Sorry, I'll be sure to take pics next time. 7/15/22 Got off the plane and drove straight here. Git the Friday Specials, Hawaiian Deluxe, and Roast Turkey Plates. Onolicious! 😉🤙✌️ 5/2023 Ono local plate lunches. Seafood bento, Hawaiian Deluxe Plate, Turkey plate. My Trilogy! But, this time, I went for the beef stew and spareribs combo!! 😋🤙✌️

This is one of my favorite bento places. The food is tasty, and the price is very reasonable (that combination is the main reason it got five stars). My favorite bento is their bento deluxe with teri beef, mochiko chicken, luncheon meat and a scallop. This month, they had a Super Japanese Plate Deluxe. It had teri beef, mochiko chicken, two scallops, two shrimp tempura, sashimi, and a small salad. The shrimp tempura was just okay (little oily), but I really enjoyed everything else. Best of all, it was only $11.50. Like most take out places, I think the rice is on the dry side. I'd love to see places offer an option to upgrade the rice to fresher Japanese rice that is properly soaked in water during the preparation process. I've been spoiled eating rice from, The Rice Factory.

We went to the Drive in after the BOW’S football game and had the best dinner. We ordered the Japanese deluxe plate and the fresh mahi-mahi plate. The food came fresh and hot off the grill, portions were very generous and priced right. We have been going there for years and it just keeps living up to my expectations, can’t wait till next meal!

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at St. Louis Grill, a charming walk-up hamburger and hotdog restaurant in Hawaii. The moment I approached, the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling burgers and hotdogs greeted me. The menu, while focused on these classic favorites, offered a variety of options to suit different preferences. I opted for their signature burger, and I was not disappointed. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, nestled between a fresh bun and topped with a delightful combination of toppings. The flavor was outstanding, and the portion size left me satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. The service was efficient and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The staff seemed genuinely passionate about their offerings, and their recommendations helped me choose a meal I truly relished. While the focus here is on hamburgers and hotdogs, the attention to quality and taste sets St. Louis Grill apart. If you're looking for a no-frills, delicious meal in a convenient walk-up setting, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be returning for another satisfying bite on my next trip to Hawaii."

Should this be a 5 star? Yep. The food is so yummy. Does it have an amazing ambiance? Well no but do I care about that for a $6 amazing breakfast? No. And their team is so nice!

My family and I love this place, and we stop by every time we come to Oahu. It's great food for the price, most of it is the combination of food packs into one.

Been coming to St. Louis Drive Inn for years! Their Japanese Bento is the best and for some reason, their Student Special 2 (tuna sandwich) is better here than when making it at home! If you're lucky, there's parking and no line. But most of the time it's pretty busy. The wait is totally worth it...so be patient, and you will be rewarded with good local comfort food!
