Played the championship course on a Saturday about 8:30am so pace was pretty good. The course is well maintained with a few weeds on the greens but not an issue. There are a few really narrow holes which added to the fun. There are some really nice views of the ocean on the back 9 and lush hills all around. I’ve played the executive course before so was excited to finally hit the big dog. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating to get a single out, the Marshall was friendly and even a cart girl with a big smile. The restaurant is one of the few on the island courses that is open. Prices are on right in line with other similar courses. Good value for a great outing. I’ll definitely be back.
The staff was fantastic, and the course was great. Even with the lack of rain, the course was in pretty good condition. Greens were well maintained. Beautiful views throughout the course and holes ranging from scoreable to challenging. I will definitely return next time I’m on Oahu. Only drawback was a small range, but still affords a warm up (other courses I played had no or closed ranges). They even have a little pitch and putt par 3 course I would love to try next time. This could be done before your round to get used to the greens. Overall, 5/5 and a course I want to play again!
I play nine holes every couple of weeks in the late afternoon. It’s a good play, but my partner and I would really appreciate having the time limit for the nine- hole rate set at 3:30. Not many golfers are interested in playing 18 at that late hour but lots of people want to play nine. Setting the time limit at 4:30 doesn’t accomplish much except to make those wanting to play nine mad!
Played both the executive course-all par 3's and the championship course. The executive course has a great layout.... but is not in good shape, the greens are very spotty and very inconsistent. I would rate it 2 stars. Now the championship course is a completely different story. It was in great shape from tee to green. I would rate it 4 stars.
What a great time playing this Executive Par 3 course. We went during Christmas (Dec 23rd) on a Friday morning. We didn’t have anyone behind us for approx 4 holes so it was nice to take MANY photos with the gardens and surrounding area.
I hit 10/18 greens & Heather hit 5/18 - We played lights out!
I liked the Championship course more than people made me think I would. There’s no snack shop or beverage cart. It’s much more of a muni vibe. Fairways are long and relatively straight. Lots of houses. No frills, but a fun neighborhood course. Hawaii Kai is dry and arid, in general, and so are the greens. The Executive Par 3 is fun and casual, but wear your not so nice shoes to that one. Lots of dirt.
Great place to play golf while staying in Waikiki, easy Uber trip to location, lovely public course, has very good fees for a month, unlimited golf, easy to get on course. Very good afternoon fee's if only playing one game while on holiday.
Such a fun place to play!
Loved the course and the locals.
Terrific staff, lovely views, breezy,
interesting holes & great people.
Wish we lived around the corner.
The first time that I played at your course was 2015. I loved it back then, so every time I came to ohau I would try to get a game in. It’s a beautiful course to play. I have played at your course a total of 3 times. It’s a great place to play a game.
Par 3 was fun but not well kept
