Absolutely wonderful food prepared expertly. Flew 4500 miles from Georgia to eat the best cake noodles and salt and pepper shrimp and Hong Kong Tea. Thank you Eva!!

Delicious, authentic, fresh home cooked food! The owners were extremely friendly - the wife took our order and the husband was in the back cooking. Apparently they have been here for over 50 years - we ran into a couple who had been eating here since they were teenagers. Would high recommend!

A gem of a little restaurant with a brilliant local reputation. I found the restaurant on Google via 10 best Chinese restaurants in Honolulu's Chinatown, located within the Chinatown Cultural Heritage Centre. I had the Minute Chicken on Cake Noodle. It was absolutely delicious. I'd have had seconds if I weren't full on the first dish 😎😜. I loved it. It has to be said that the service provided was exceptionally good. I can see the owners have featured in the top 10 listing. Well deserved.

This place is "cozy". Okay, it' s almost divey, but like many dives, the food can be really good. Only about 25 seats in a tight space.
I had the Beef Fun. Quite good and the lemon tea was enjoyable.
service was very friendly and attentive.

Amazing and tasty. I've tried the noodle cakes and they were miraculously tasty. And the teas, both the one with milk and the lemon one. The place looks as if taken out of Chinese street.

Stumbled across this little gem of a place while exploring Chinatown. AMAZING! Great food, get hospitality. The spicy shrimp (szechuan style), minute chicken noodle cake, and chicken and corn soup were fantastic. We will be back on our next trip to Hawaii!

Talk about a hole in the wall! It really is. It was another rainy day that drove me into this place to grab some lunch and it was a lucky find. The place is small, but comfortable and well kept.
From my Yelping and by the looks of the menu, it appeared that their Minute Chicken on Cake Noodles was the thing to get. It truly was. I have to say that it was the best cake noodles I've had. They were cooked perfectly with the right amount of crispy and softness balance. All the flavors were just right.
I'd like to go back to this place and try some of their other items. While people watching during my lunch, I could tell that they get all regulars. Their has to be something else or a hidden treasure of food other than their Minute Chicken on Cake Noodles.
It isn't anything fancy and the surrounding area a little rough, but this place will be a return to on my foodie list.

Amazing food with large portions. A small family style restaurant but it does not disappoint!

Small restaurant with excelent food, prices, and amazing hospitality. We loved the chicken cake noodles. It is located in the Chinatown Cultural Plaza (which google maps takes you), right at the river bank, closer to N Kohui Street.

Minute Chicken Cake Noodle... you just have to try it if you don't know what it is. Seems like every customer in the restaurant knows this dish. The noodle is crunchy, top with saucy gravy and crisp chicken... when you bit into the noodle, it is soft and hot inside. Its ridiculous!
There are a few other dishes that are their stables, but this cake noodle dish took the cake!
Just try it first if this is your first time here. Other dishes like their fish ball; fish cake (not the same thing); beef brisket... quite a lot of choices to try for such a small, cozy place.
It was pack with locals (regulars?) when I went. But it was clean and comfy, to a point where I can't call it "a-hole-in-the-wall". Nice Gem.

A Small resturant with maybe only about 25 seats, setting was nice. Had their Black Bean Chow Fun, was really good. Service was really friendly but was very busy.

Got the fried noodle and shrimp and they were both very good. I never had fried noodle before, it had an interesting texture. THe pork that came with it was crispy and tasty. The shrimp was thick and plump and you could it the shell on it. The shrimp here is miles better than the one i got from Giovannis food truck.

Hot and delicious made-to-order food. You have to try their cake noodles and tasty fish balls! Bonus points for their wonderful jasmine tea (teapot infuser ensured well brewed tea without tea leaves in your cup)! Definitely a new "go to" place. And they validate parking, too.

The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, and the customer service was superb! We didn't realize that they didn't accept cards, so we didn't have enough cash to pay the bill. Yet the woman behind the counter fully trusted us, and told us we could come in on another day to pay her back! It could've been really easy for her to make a big deal out of it and demand money, but she just gracefully smiled and let us walk through the door.
This was arguably our best experience in that area yet!

This unpretentious, family owned restaurant, located on the canal, has been around for 24 years and there is a reason why. The food is delicious and prepared with aloha. If you want real Chinese food served with warm friendly aloha this is a great place. They dont serve alcohol but you can bring your own.
