Megs Drive-in - Honolulu - Photo album

Just heard on the news that Meg's Drive-In is closing after Decades of service to the community. I rushed down this afternoon to get my favorite beef Curry and chicken katsu mix plate. I haven't been there in a while so I found out the new thing is that there's an upcharge for use of credit card not
December 17, 2021 will be the last day of operation for this long time hole-in-the-wall establishment. Hurry and get the chicken katsu! My friend likes the burger. We both want to get the steamed opakapaka - maybe available on Thursdays and Fridays?
Kalihi has a number of "local" eateries and if you are looking to get an authentic local food experience at an affordable price, Meg's is it. Two plate lunches and a beverage for under $20. Daily menu plate lunches come in regular and mini and you can combine items to make a mixed plate (combo). Ham
Got the hamburger and cutlet mixed plate. Ample reserved parking outside for guests, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Probably my favorite plate lunch on my trip. If you're hungry, this is going to hit the spot, guaranteed. Make sure to stop here if you're in Honolulu, you won't be disappoin
Craving chicken katsu, Yelped this place, took it home and put Kikkoman tonkatsu sauce, another empty styrofoam in the trash... craving satisfied!
The best local style plate lunches around! My favorites are the Beef Stew and Beer Curry!
Good local selection for plate lunches. My go to is the beef stew. Ono.
Craved for breakfast food. Perfectly cooked two easy over eggs and ratio of yolks was sufficient to cover fried rice. Portuguese Sausage also tasted yummy with a slight spice and kick. Perhaps I may return to try their chicken katsu or another local entree pending on my mood. highly recommend!!
Steamed fish (Chinese style) with brown rice, tossed salad, and some fries on the side. So good! Great flavor and big servings! Not sure if it's only a Friday thing. 👍👍👍
Quick food cooked to order. Seems most local folks go there.
First time here and I like it. I appreciate that everything is homemade. I had the mixed plate wit chicken katsu and hamburger steak. Patty homemade loved it chicken katsu seemed like it was made to order. The price great too. I just don't like where it's located. Lots of homeless people walking ar
I grew up going to Megs Drive In. My dad used to bring home their locally legendary hambugers and sauce. The present owners bought it years ago from the original owners and kept the original recipes. It is still a very popular local comfort food go to, with great food and selection with daily specia
Great food! The building is a little older but the breeze blowing through the lanai and the outdoor seating were just right! We got breakfast here because we couldn’t find the other place we wanted to eat at and we are glad we found this place instead! Plenty of parking
You cannot go wrong with Meg's. If your looking for old fashioned burgers this is the place to go. So far everything that I have eaten has been amazing. Not a fan of the Chili though.
Went to try the chicken katsu because Frolic Hawaii said it was best on island. I don't agree but texture was good and chicken was fresher than most. Could have used a little more seasoning to be "best" chicken katsu tho.
We go here probably once or twice a week just cause we live so close. Staff is always friendly, treats you like family. Always good local vibes here , everyone always coming in at lunch time to wipe out the daily specials . Megs will always be our #1 go to for lazy day meals.
