Kokoro Tei Beretania - Honolulu - Photo album

Super cute shop with a very kind and gentle elderly lady manning the front. Bento boxes are excellent value and taste really good. Highly recommend this place if you're on a budget and want to eat good bento box food!
Great bento place! They are mostly made to order. Ebi fry was amazing, as was the fried chikuwa. Chicken left something to be desired, though. My friend loved his salmon and vege bento.
My workplace ordered a bunch of bentos for a coworker brithday, and I picked the salmon bento for $10.98 (2022 prices). Excellent taste and would order again if offered another opportunity.
Food portions were huge. The steak didn't have much taste without the wafu sauce. The yakitori was great. I also liked the little side dishes. They were really tasty.
This is a small bento place on Beretania St. next to Domino’s Pizza. They have cheap bento that have delicious food. It’s best to call in your order for wait wait can be a while. Bentos cost less than $8.00, which is a bargain. Nice people at the counter add to the appeal. There are three tiny two-p
Delicious. Love the chickuwa. Got as a side. And multi grain rice, side also. Ono 😋
Great authentic Japanese food, at an even better price. Their menu is pretty good, with a lot of your normal bento choices, but they have specials on the weekdays that are great values and only available on these days. One of my favorites is the Omelet rice, you need to call to see if available that
Kokoro-tei is the best bento place in town, full stop. Their daily specials and other menu items are tasty, but their nori bentos are the stars. A regular nori kara bento provides as much, if not more food than an average mini plate lunch while being several dollars cheaper. And all of the component
let this place speak for itself and please visit them if you have a craving for a high quality Japanese bento at reasonable prices! My favorite here is the ginger pork bento (so good!), and if you are hungry, they have mega sizes that pair two entrees together (my favorite is the ginger pork and ham
The quality of Kokoro-tei's food is exceptional. I feel like I should be paying at least 3x as much and sitting in a restaurant. Instead, I'm enjoying my bento as take out at a reasonable price. It takes a little longer to get your food, but its worth the wait for this freshly made bento.
Just good Japanese comfort bentos. Our bentos came out hot which is always a plus. It's still take out only but that's ok. Their bentos are the perfect thing for a picnic anyway. While I'm not a fan of okara, I was impressed to see it in my wife's bento (at least I think that's what it was). Can't f
This is one of the Best Authentic Japanese Bento you can ever get on this island!. The prices are decent and so is the service. The only bad thing is it has terrible Store hours, it's usually closed when I want to eat there or have family and friends that I want to bring here. A little more seating,
Got a bunch of bentos for admin day. Was very easy and everyone loved the food. Very japanese bentos which is always good for special occasion lunches. They have cheap options too! I loved the veggie side dishes.
A year ago: Eggs were undercooked in bento; fluid egg white and egg yolk was flowing. Unsafe. Now: two dishes I ordered tasted and looked great. There wasn't any potential health issues as well.
Despite Covid, menu, taste, presentation, pricing are great. One of the best vegetarian bentos. Staff is extremely courteous, helpful, and gracious. It's a place to revisit regularly.
I got Makuno-Uchi, a daily special, it had a ton of variety, and even came with miso soup!! Tender salmon, fluffy rice, I can't wait to come back!
The price for the food you get is very reasonable. Sadly due to restrictions in Hawaii on plastics, bags are not free so either bring a bag or you will have to buy a bag.
The food is all freshly made-to-order and I haven't had a single miss yet from their menu. Instantly became one of my go-to places for takeout.
Little hole in the wall takeout spot. Affordable and large!
