I was looking for a nice cozy place to eat and this restaurant hit the spot. The food was delicious. My BF had the chicken Parm and said it was pounded and breaded to perfection. I had the shrimp scampi and the sauce was lovely. Just right without a greasy too much butter flavor. The shrimp were almost jumbo size and flavorful with extra spirits of lemon on the side. The parmesan to top everything off was not overpowering and added a little umph. The dessert was yummy but frozen. The prices are not too steep and match the portion size. The lemonade tastes fresh squeezed and more tart than overly sugary. The staff was attentive and encouraging without being pushy. Super sweet and kind. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I LOVE coming here! It's a quaint, quiet, and very comforting spot for us. The ambience and the fact that the owner remembers us are what keeps us coming here. The food is DELICIOUS and we've never been disappointed. We'll be coming back for more enjoyable experiences in the future!!!

Older well taken care of neighborhood place. I will come back to this place next time I am in town. Had the osso bucco in the best brown gravy. Nice chianti. Every one at the table raved about their dishes. The front end service was so polite and the food came out quick.

Went multiple times since 2011, very good Italian food. As of 2019-05, on Saturdays the new owner confirmed they were following WEEKDAY hours. Went there on Saturday June 1st at 1:30pm and it was opened. He changed the hours and did not have time to update signs, so the restaurant was empty. I took a picture of hours outside but it was still showing the old sign. Paid $0.60 for 1 hour parking, not bad. Most importantly, food was still great.

Hubby and I LOVE coming here to eat because of the great service, yummy food, and the calming atmosphere. We recently dined here to celebrate our 11th anniversary and was greeted warmly by our hostess. She always remembers what drinks we like best, our favorite dessert, and suggests the best dishes for us to try. And although I keep forgetting to get her name, she makes us feel very welcome, like coming home. Thank you, Verbano, for making our special nights extra special every time we visit!!

Excellent food! I have been here a number of times and gotten the fettuccini with added vegetables with a light white sauce. It is so very tasty. Also added to my delightful experience a slice of their ice coffee and chocolate cream pie and was out if this world! My friend always gets the bruschetta which she just loved. I saw a negative review on Trip Advisor but this has never been my experience at this restaurant so I would not let this keep my from enjoying a great meal at Verbano’s. There is only one sever and bring lots of quarters for parking which is street parking and behind the business. And enjoy a small great place to eat.

Stopped by because we were in Kaimuki around supper time, and had quite a nice meal. Clams casino were quite good (I think they're an American contribution to Italian food) and chicken Florentine was good, too. Don't recall what the wife had, but she enjoyed it. Everyone seemed to be following coronavirus protocols, but they'll be happy when restrictions are lifted and the number of dine-in customers increases.

I've only been there once, but the lady was very friendly and accommodating. I had the steak Verde and a salad. Everything was delicious! The salad dressing, the bread, the sauce... I look forward to trying more of their dishes.

Just ate here with my wife at the suggestion of my brother who had been here several times on trips to Oahu.<br/><br/>Do not believe the bad reviews!!!<br/><br/>We had a wonderful meal including Caprese Salad, wine, garlic bread, entrees, dessert and after dinner drinks and coffee<br/><br/>The prices were reasonable and comparable to similar places in Boston!<br/><br/>The meals were delicious, tender veal nice baked rigatoni with sausage and meatball<br/><br/><br/>Portions were good size - mine was a full and my wife's a small portion - plenty for each of us<br/><br/>Location is off the beaten path but very nice very similar to our favorite place north of Boston<br/><br/><br/>It is excellent and away from the hubbub of Waikiki strip

This place has delicious Italian food. The sauces have great flavor and the portions are huge. I was not expecting such a fine meal in a strip mall, but this place is terrific.

Soggy pasta, poor help inane waiters take away the bread basket instead of asking to refill it. If you don't order wine right away the menu is removed and you have to ask for it. Charge xtra for lornzo sauce then pasta comes out dry. Don't waste ur te go to Assagio's... Way way better
