I grew up in Kalihi, Gulick Deli just brings back memories of my childhood. Always on my must place to visit whenever I’m in town. The food is just as good as I remember. However, the prices has gone up lately.
It was pretty good. Since it was my first time there, we ordered a whole bunch of stuff. I liked the garlic and spicy chicken. The namasu was super good! The chow fun and the long rice were okay. The vegetable tempura would have been the bomb if it was still hot, fresh out of the fryer.
Another great thing about it was that they had the diamond head strawberry soda! So delicious.
Gotta try everything. My favorites that i get all the time are garlic chicken, cone sushi, vegetable tempura, potaoto hash, and mac salad. Hardly get parking but worth looking and even parking on the street. I always end up buying extra for lunch or dinner. Long time Local favorites
Everything is Homemade. Okazu(Japanese and Local Ala Chart dishes) Food is delicious. Friendly Service.
There is never anything BAD about this place, or the food. I just have a hard time not fitting everything into my 1 plate! 😆 🤣
Great okazuya for a quick bite. Many choices to choose from at reasonable prices.
By the time we arrived at 1:00 p.m. the County workers nearly cleared out the place or all the food! The chicken that was left we purchased and it was amazing!
We typically stop by Gulick to pick up okazuya before heading to the zoo or Kapiolani park.
One of my favorite delicatessens since I was a child
Great place for okazuya ! Friendly staff. Fast service. Delicious food, reasonable prices.
