Umamiya Shabu Shabu

Our high school reunion was held here about 3 weeks ago. Suggested to arrive early since parking gets scarce the later you wait. Little over 100 in attendance. Food included a prime rib all you can eat buffet from 530 to 730. Everything at the reunion was better than expected. Only complaint was the air conditioning needed to be stronger. It was a hot humid tent the whole night. Have videos of someone using a portable fan to make things bearable. So smart, we all needed one that night.

It's romantic! It's clean! It's intimate! It's priced sensibly! It's freaking yummy!!! The broth wasn't salty or sweet! It's comfort food to the core! They even let me substitute my beef for shrimp. My dish was huge so I couldn't finish it which is perfect if you're sharing your dish with a partner!! The manager greeted people at the door and sat them down! SHE WAS IN A SUIT for goodness sake! It simply was my best restaurant experience in my entire two years of Hawaii!

The staff at this establishment is very friendly. Very clean and nice atmosphere. The quality of food is great but i feel it is a little bit overpriced. My only complaint is the parking situation. Be prepared to drive around the parking lot for 30 mins with others waiting for someone to leave so you can take their spot.

My visit was during their dinner happy hour. Parking wasn't an issue because I went there around 9PM. Their prices were reasonable for the amount of food they provided. The staff was friendly and our server was great. The interior and design of the restaurant was comforting. The food was delicious. Unlike other shabu shabu places, they dont charge extra to refill your broth. I was quite satisfied with my visit. I would recommend for others to at least try this place out.
