Leo's Taverna Express - Honolulu - Photo album

My go to place whenever I want a gyro! Hands down the best on the island. I always grab one after grocery shopping at Don Quijote. The service is warm and staff are always accommodating.
I met this family long time ago. * (beginning back in 2004) * Greet People husband and wife and their family work very hard for their business. I am very glad they still continue doing very well. * their food is made with their passion and with love and sweat. I'm so glad I returned to the island.
LOVE their gyro sandwich. I get it once a week. Very reasonably priced. This is a family-owned business, and they are absolutely the sweetest people. Definitely check them out!!
The best testing Mediterranean food I had in a long time. For the cost and the test of the food, this place can't be beat. We eat there twice during our three days stay in Oahu. The bread is amazingly soft, testy and is cooked after the order is placed.
I really like owner Leo and his Menu. Classic Americanized Greek food. All prepared in a little 10x10 kiosk located right across from a general store called Don Quixote. Prices are fair. Food quality is what you would expect at a "make it fresh" eatery. At under $8, the Gyro Sandwich is worth the
A small little trailer of yumminess right outside of Don Quijote. My absolute go to spot when I'm craving Gyros. Owner is really nice and his Gyros are worth trying! Highly recommended!
Leo’s has some of the BEST gyros in Honolulu. Their Greek fries are the bomb- crispy with some delicious garlic salt seasoning on them. The baklava is AMAZING too. Plates are huge. It’s like two meals for the price of one. Food is always made fresh. No complaints.
Love the food here. It sometimes is a little long wait, but if you really wanted the food you'd definitely wait. Good stuff here. Cash only if I'm not mistaken.
This location puts on a lot more meat than the Bishop St downtown location. But, still stingy on the yogurt sauce. A little bit extra will be nice.
Quick service, delicious gyros and fries, and fair prices. Not many other places to get this style of food in Hawaii so Leo’s is a good spot to hit up. All I have to say is damn…whoever is responding to reviews needs to take a chill pill lol
Amazing! So happy I came across this little Greek spot in the first days of my trip to Waikiki. The price is fair and taste is delicious! Definitely a must try.
Ignore any negative comments. This man makes tasty gyros , is fair and that stand has been there for 2?3? decades? .
Happy to have found this place. The gyro platter was really good. Gyro was tender and flavorful, homemade hummus was delicious, salad was fresh and crispy, perfectly cooked rice, fluffy pita and heavenly tzatziki sauce to top it off. I will definitely be back.
The gyros are good. Would have been even better if they had more meat and sauce. French fries were perfectly hot and fresh.
Excellent Mediterranean food. I love their gyro and falafel sandwiches. They are always generous with the meat portion and the sandwiches cost less than $8. Falafel is also flavorful and very moist. Sometimes they have baklava too.
I really like this place. The staff is always nice and helpful. Food is always cooked to order. It is also always good. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience here. We have probably been 5 or more times I would say. The parking is a little tricky since it is in the don quijote parking lot, but the
Friendly service and really good gyros! Was just telling my sons about Leo's. We are all going to Leo's tomorrow after church!
Excellent taste, generous portions, friendly staff. I asked the guy at the counter how to properly pronounce "gyro" and he politely and happily told me the 'g' makes a 'y' sound, so it's pronounced "yeero." Now you know! Well worth a quick stop, I highly recommend it.
