Jagalchi Korean Restaurant

First time here, was not disappointed. I’m happy we didn’t shy away from trying it due to mixed reviews! We will return! It has like a bar/nightclub kind of vibe, and the food was delicious! The restaurant was We had their Bulgogi Bi Bim Bap, So tteok, Wang Galbi Soup with purple rice, Galbi jjim, steamed egg and of course banchan. We dug right in because we were hungry so minimal pics taken. When the banchan ran low, we were offered another serving and we accepted. We enjoyed the tasty food, and the servers was thoughtful, attentive and courteous. Parking was tight in their lot for Friday night so the next option is park on Young St. and walk. It was strange because we didn’t think that all the vehicles that were parked in their lot was for Jagalchi restaurant.

Legit korean food. We got 반족발 (half pig’s feet platter), 김치 칼국수 (kimchi kalguksu), and 비지찌개 (ground bean stew). There was table celebrating birthday and the owners DJ-ed birthday song for them. Fun vibe. I really liked the noodle soup. Would come again. Update: Came again and got more stuff: spicy pork and squid, chives pancake, and beefy short rib soup. Good stuff.

Phenomenal. Tasty - really amazing, even the side dishes tasted great. The food came out really really fast, and the server was friendly. I can’t ask for more from restaurant, I’ll be back often :) perfect for solo dining or in a group. Their Tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) is the best I’ve had in Honolulu 🥳🥳🥳

I almost didn’t want to review the restaurant because I wanted to save it for myself. No one else can have it! Seriously, one of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever visited. The banchan was plenty (loved the anchovy banchan), the steamed egg was so homely, the homemade noodles were to die for, and the dumplings were super ono. Two thumbs up!

Good food and nice lady boss. Beautiful and attends to you dearly. Killer smile even behind the mask. Had the Korean rice wine, not soju. Wonderful experience. Served in golden teapot and bowl. Yes! U drink from bowl... Had a wonderful time there. Really good food. Too bad I can't speak Korean, got a wonderful smell in the house when I enter. But didn't know how to order.

One of the best hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurants I've ever been to. The second we walked in you're greeted with great customer service. They sat us down right away. The menu selection was big but not confusing. I ordered came with complimentary side dishes. Overall the food was amazing and it was well worth the price. We will definitely be back.
