Review Cho Dang Restaurant - Honolulu

The spicy beef soup was only $10.99. It was very cheap for a Korean dish so I had decided to have my lunch here. Once the side dishes and the main dish and a bowl of rice came out it turned out to be a lot. The taste was also good. This was a definite cheap eats in town. This is a small restaurant with a waitress that had difficulty with speaking & understanding english, but she did try to be helpful.

The food was exactly what we wanted. Soft tofu soup with mushrooms is my favorite Korean dish and it was good here. The sauce that came with the zucchini jun was so delicious that we asked to take some home. We had an attentive server who refilled our water several times. This was the most affordable meal we've had so far in Honolulu, but we're used to Bay Area prices.

Very homely Korean restaurant at outer area of Ala Moana shopping center. Super casual. Reasonable, tasty side dish and good meat Jun. I like their tofu soup but I decided to try beef soup this time. Everything was tasty.

The kimchi jigae was amazing--Sour and spicy, fatty bits of pork, soft tofu! The banchan were also great, especially the daikon kimchi and bean sprouts. The service was quick and cordial, and to me the prices were reasonable. The space itself is definitely no frills, but easy to find and clean enough!

This has become our go-to Korean take-out place over the past year. Haven't had a bad dish yet, and I've ordered the stir-fried squid every time -- just the right amount of tteokbokki. No liquor license, but you can pick up soju at nearby Nijiyq Market while you wait for your order. Parking is easy.

Great quality food. Absolutely delicious. Fast and friendly service. It’s a small place, but they have a good menu with a lot of selection. The prices are reasonable. All in all this is a great spot to drop in for fantastic Korean food. The spicy chicken was awesome.

Definitely looks hotter than it is. It’s just the right amount of Hotness in this beef soup (Yukhaejang). The meat Jun is also great and just the right amount of meat vs egg batter. The sauce was a little sweet but bearable. The waitress is nice and the seating is plentiful. Parking is out front and if you go late when everything else is closed then you will have no problem. gomabseubnida

I have always been intimidated try out this restaurant since the outside looks very rundown, but it actually looks pretty decent inside. The all-day specials are at such a great price for very delicious Korean food - their kimchi jjigae tastes as good as the one I make at home! Will definitely eat here again.. But probably better to go to the one near the H-Mart in Kaka'ako.

Four of us went to eat. We ALL got something different and the seafood Pancake to share. Everything was delicious!!! Only about 530 started to get busy, so the one waitress was a little overwhelmed. But food came out quickly and hot. Will definitely go back👍

An inexpensive Korean place in a corner of a strip mall with cla selection of conventional Korean meals. You get what you pay for. All-day specials are supposed to be smaller portions than the usual but we found them to be more than sufficient for us (for lunch).

I have been coming here for many years now and have never been disappointed. I always have Spicy Pork as this is my favorite Korean food. Served on a sizzling platter. Tasty, spicy and very Flavorarable. A bowl of rice and 7 side dishes compliment the meal. I have been to many Korean Places to eat and everywhere I go I always eat Spicy Pork. Most places are more BBQ style then "spicy" so I am very pleased to eat at a place that actually serves Real Spicy Pork. Just look at the pic. You can see the steam rising from the platter as it is served. Awesome!

Haven't had a Korean-style restaurant food in a long while. The food was so delicious and plentiful. The service was terrific. This lady was amazing. The phone was constantly ringing for take-outs, customers kept walking in, she took everyone's orders, walked really fast to get the dishes out, always checking on how you're doing. And the cook or cooks in the back were going "full steam." Boy. Can they "pump it out!" I was satisfied. Did I say that the food was wonderful and I can't believe the price. So affordable.

Quick and efficient no frills service. Great spot for a filling Korean meal day or night.

Awesome authentic Korean food. Don't let the outside deceive you, it's a great mom and pop small restaurant. Great price!

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants on the island. Go here if you want amazing KBBQ. They have a large menu, but I always order multiple dishes to split with the table. Each option comes with a gauntlet of other ingredients and their pickled cucumbers are awesome. Definitely check them out.
