Dave's Hawaiian Ice Cream

We were in and out quick and they let us try samples of whatever we asked for. The ice cream was fantastic as was the service. I had the island fudge in coconut macadamia which were both awesome. The ice cream is nice and sweet but somehow not overpowering. My girlfriend had the honeydew flavored which was a bit less sweet and light. Overall this is some of the best ice cream I can remember having.

We are back in 2023! Dave’s moved around the corner to a larger ice cream shop AND has more flavors. The owner here is Val (I hope I got her name correct, I’m horrible with names) is the sweetest lady and works so hard to provide the best ice cream, great customer service and so much more. My wife and I like that she has good hard working people working for her. We were heartbroken when she wasn’t in her old spot. But thrilled at the new and better location around the corner in the same area, the Ilikai. So refreshing and delicious real ice cream to taste is real. Do not miss out on this treat. Treat yourself you deserve it!!!

Just grabbed some and it was not only delicious, but unlike a lot of places they did not skimp on the scoops. Shout out to the cashier, she was very friendly and willing to give samples. My wife was about to get the Hawaiian Mud Pie but informed her it was a coffee based flavor beforehand, which helped her pick a flavor more of what she was looking for. You can't teach an employee excellent people skills like this. Most would have not informed the customer and then possibly had an unhappy experience in return. Thanks again!

***They have $2 Tuesdays!!!*** Good ice cream, nothing too special or unique. Quite expensive, about $4 for 1 regular scoop or kids scoop (keiki). Sugar and cake cones are free. The Honeydew Mochi flavor did not have any mochi pieces; just a very slight flavor. The Hawaiian Mud Pie was very delicious. The options with chocolate or coffee have strong delicious flavor. Very convenient location on the ground level of The Ilikai Hotel/Condo.
