Genki Sushi

Very quaint little place. The string bean sushi roll is to die for. My husband and kids loved the conveyor belt. And they have small portions and large portions in case you just need a quick snack. Very cheap but also taste great. We had to wait a while on our check even though we pressed both the buttons on our phone and the conveyor belt but all in all great. Will definitely visit again.

Headsup disclosure... extreme personal bias HaHa! This trip to Waikiki was after a 42 year absence. My wife and I came to Waikiki on our honeymoon 42 years ago. So of course coming back was filled with much sentiment and good vibes. Everything to my mind was good here in Hawaii... the weather,the Pacific ocean,the friendly people includong fellow travellers. I thought the dishes here were some of the best that I have ever tasted and we have a lot of good sushi restaurants in Vancouver. To verify my thoughts,my 2 millenials agreed and they go out way more than me and my wife. I have 2 photos. The salmon was so fresh and delicious,the sushi rice was perfect,slightly warm, soft and chewy,just seemed to melt in your mouth like the salmon. The other is softshelled crab. I will be 72 years old on June 27th and I actually have never experienced soft shelled crab. A term I have heard the young people say is " OMG". Let me say the crab with that sauce was OMG good. We ordered it twice!. Friendly staff. Dishes ordered came to our table on a mini train! Another new experience. Highly recommend this place. It's in Ala Moana center..simply the largest mall I have ever been to.

The place is pretty small for it being in a huge attraction of a mall, but that didn’t stop us from trying the food. We were placed in a waitlist of 8 parties ahead but it went pretty quick so about 20 minutes. Ordering was very very simple and gave a variety to choose from! The sushi tasted amazingly fresh, good flavor, good balance! Very very nice employees, they were short staffed but still tried their best to accommodate all the people wanting to sit and enjoy sushi. Not too pricey either, I ordered 6 times from the menu to try and it came out to 23$. Good size sushi so the 23$ were worth it! Thank you Genki Sushi! We shall be back!

Had to stop here twice cause we loved it so much. Such a fun way to order from your phone and the kitchen sends the food out on mini speed trains which stops right in front of you. Not to mention, everything was yummy and priced so nicely! Great service from the staff as well, they were very kind. Thank you for the fun experience!
