Very quaint little place. The string bean sushi roll is to die for. My husband and kids loved the conveyor belt. And they have small portions and large portions in case you just need a quick snack. Very cheap but also taste great. We had to wait a while on our check even though we pressed both the buttons on our phone and the conveyor belt but all in all great. Will definitely visit again.
Super fun environment for bullet train sushi (conveyor belt sushi). Affordable price for sushi. Sushi is fresh and with a Hawaiian twist. Staff is friendly and casual. Went by myself and wait time was only a few minutes to setup my dinning area at the bar during a busy lunch time.
The place is pretty small for it being in a huge attraction of a mall, but that didn’t stop us from trying the food. We were placed in a waitlist of 8 parties ahead but it went pretty quick so about 20 minutes. Ordering was very very simple and gave a variety to choose from! The sushi tasted amazingly fresh, good flavor, good balance! Very very nice employees, they were short staffed but still tried their best to accommodate all the people wanting to sit and enjoy sushi. Not too pricey either, I ordered 6 times from the menu to try and it came out to 23$. Good size sushi so the 23$ were worth it! Thank you Genki Sushi! We shall be back!
It is a decent sushi place with great service and revolving trails. The salmon and California roll tasted fresh. The sweet egg one impressed me. Definitely will come back to try some more fancy and expensive entrees.

Headsup disclosure... extreme personal bias HaHa! This trip to Waikiki was after a 42 year absence. My wife and I came to Waikiki on our honeymoon 42 years ago. So of course coming back was filled with much sentiment and good vibes. Everything to my mind was good here in Hawaii... the weather,the Pacific ocean,the friendly people includong fellow travellers. I thought the dishes here were some of the best that I have ever tasted and we have a lot of good sushi restaurants in Vancouver. To verify my thoughts,my 2 millenials agreed and they go out way more than me and my wife. I have 2 photos. The salmon was so fresh and delicious,the sushi rice was perfect,slightly warm, soft and chewy,just seemed to melt in your mouth like the salmon. The other is softshelled crab. I will be 72 years old on June 27th and I actually have never experienced soft shelled crab. A term I have heard the young people say is " OMG". Let me say the crab with that sauce was OMG good. We ordered it twice!. Friendly staff. Dishes ordered came to our table on a mini train! Another new experience. Highly recommend this place. It's in Ala Moana center..simply the largest mall I have ever been to.
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was fresh and made to order. Arrived quickly and was delicious. One of our party has extensive dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate and offer him advice on menu items to try and which ones to avoid. Truly delightful experience.
Standard Genki Sushi experience. Nothing really jumped out at you in terms of flavor. The edamame was pretty bland. The baked mussels were amazing, though, and I recommend that!
Always a good place to get affordable sushi! Staff are awesome, they are quick to get things for you from your first drink to your check! Food comes out quickly and is pretty good, as well as affordable. If you are looking for a causal spot to get sushi I definitely recommend this place!
My kids love this place and there are kids' sushi and desserts that cater to kids. The shinkansen (bullet train) that brings your sushi to your table is so cool and fun! I love to order from their tablet which makes it easy to order from because you can see the photos of each item and know the prices. Their prices are reasonable and not too expensive!
We came on a weekday at 1130 and waited for about 15 min for a table of 5. They dont take reservations. Hostess still takes temp before seating you. Once at tablez its easy to choose what you want to eat as there are photos for wveron the menu or the ordering pad. Its fun to watch the food come out on "boat" and you press a button to send it back. Dishes with soupy items tho get served to your table directly. Service was great. They came to ask us if we were doing okay even without pressing the call button. Made sure our water was filled all the time. When finished they count the color of plates you have then you bring that ticket to the register to pay. All the color plates are also labeled on the ordrring screen when you pick your items. It only allows you to pick 4 items max at each order, but you can keep ordering still.
