4/13/2022 A long time ago, during the holidays, my hubby went to a dinner and brought me home a slice of custard pie. Now, I'm a fan of pie but not custard pie because I've tried many awful ones. He kept telling me to try it, even though he knows I don't like custard pie. I'm sure glad I did. As soon as I took the first bite, I instantly changed my mind about custard pie. Lee's Bakery & Kitchen has THE BEST CUSTARD PIE! It's creamy, not too sweet, and the perfect texture. The crust is flaky and not super thick. Glad that my brother-in-law loves it so much that he's willing to stand in the long holiday line to get it and share with us! Today, was the first time I went to Lee's. Didn't get a custard pie since we already have dessert for this weekend's dinner with my brother-in-law. Instead, I got a Pineapple Bun, a Glazed Donut, a Hong Kong Bun, a Tuna Bun, and a Char Siu Manapua. The Hong Kong Bun was because I asked the friendly lady which item was the most popular or favorite of customers and she suggested that bun. It came out to $8 and change. So far today, I ate the Glazed Donut, part of the Hong Kong Bun, and the Tuna Bun. That Tuna Bun was stuffed with tuna and the bread was so light and fluffy. Yum! The Hong Kong Bun was like a delicious butter roll, and the Glazed Donut was airy and not super sweet. I'm sure the other items will be scrumptious as well. I love Lee's Bakery & Kitchen!

Lucky to go there today without a line! Custard pie is so creamy! Also tried their pineapple bun, and other pastries for my kids, which they'll definitely love. The people there are sooo nice! 🙏

It was so smooth and melted in a mouth. I tasted many custard pies in Honolulu, this is the best one! Crust is thin, but firm enough to hold the pie. Just right sweetness and creamy custard. Number one recommended custard pie for sure. And I recommend to call them to hold it, other than that you will not see it in the store!

When getting a custard pie I don’t know of a better place to go. There is also a wide selection of other baked goods as well. Parking isn’t the easiest. But you can call in an order and just run in and pick up if you have some drive around the block.

This is one of the best to get custard pie...so creamy and tasty....definitely is a must if you are in the area.....they take orders too except Thanksgiving....

Lee's bakery is by far absolutely the best place to buy baked goods. They have nothing that isn't phenomenal. You can actually taste the love and effort that they put in every single donut. Plus they are always so polite and welcoming. You couldn't pay me to go anywhere else. Every single baked good that's myself and my picky family of 6 hat hat has been hit.

Friendly and great customer service first! Their price are outstanding!!!!!!! Also the other pastries that they serve. Worth every penny! Street parking.

Arguably the best custard pie I ever had in Honolulu. I also had the peach and pear pie which was also excellent. The also have various kinds of pastries. The service is good. We ordered ahead of time so we could bypass the line of customers. The only downside is that there is no easy parking.

Enjoy their custard, and pear/peach pies. Love the apple doughnuts that were once found at Liliha Bakery, but not today speaking of the year 2021. We have been there almost once a week for ourselves or to take a pie to share at a dinner gathering. So it's a stop made while shopping in the Honolulu Chinatown.

Lee's Bakery has the best pies. The Custard Pie has a onolicious Custard taste. Other bakeries Custard Pies has a strong egg taste. The Peach Pear Pie yummylicious. I only find the Peach Pear Pie at Lee's Bakery. All their pies are delicious. They also have pastries that's oooo so good. The ladies are friendly. Whenever you have the hungries for pie or pastries Lee's Bakery is the place to go. Only thing parking maybe a problem.

Custard Pie is Epic. One of the best Ive endulged in. Crust is buttery, flakey and tasty. Custard is absoluely delight delightful to the pallet.

They have great sweet/savory buns. My favorite...ham and eggs. But the ultimate is the Peach/Pear pie!!!! Best bakery in town.

I tried their BBQ pork manapua and custard tart. They were both very good. The manapua had an ample amount of BBQ pork and it wasn't too sweet either. The custard tart was really good. The pastry has a short crumb and melts in your mouth. The custard was done perfectly and wasnt overly sweet. I can see why they're known for their custard tarts. The staff are friendly and helpful.
