Moon Garden Restaurant - Honolulu - Photo album

Moon Garden on Vineyard has always been our family favorite. Solid food and authentic Chinese comfort food favorites. Don’t be fooled, it looks small from the outside, but once inside you’ll see how busy they are. Be patient with the servers and be mindful English isn’t their first language.
I'm really glad that this restaurant survived the pandemic. I ate there this week, the first time in ages, and it seems to be thriving. It's a small restaurant, and by the time I left (around 8pm) the place was packed. The house specialty cake (crispy) noodles, sweet-sour pork and walnut shrimp w
If you're hoping for a true Chinese restaurant experience...This is the place! It's a hole in the wall-like place with a variety of different tables, at different levels, some with table cloths, some without, the floor had stuff all over it and our table was a bit sticky...Customer service was, to m
Apologies in advance, the food looked so good that we started to eat before I posted these pics. For the price you pay, this dive would have earned an 6th star if Google offered it. This is one of few Cantonese style resturant you will find on Oahu that takes you back to the motherland. They must us
Friendly fast service. Food is very tasty and prices are reasonable. Quality of food is excellent ! They have a private parking lot. It's a small restaurant but there's enough room to get around the tables. Maximum capacity on the sign states 49 people. The place is clean and bathroom is clean.
The food we ordered was tasty, authentic, and filling. Will come back again.
Authentic Cantonese food, great low prices, and extra large dishes.
Fast and Friendly Services. Roast Pork was very crispy it just melts in your mouth. Food Portions are right and delicious
Great Chinese cooking. Impressive!!
One of the best chinese/Cantonese restaurants on Oahu!! I tend to judge a Chinese restaurant’s ability to get food right by the way they cook their fried rice and chow fun (if they have it). The salted fish and chicken fried rice is incredibly fragrant, delicious, and perfect. The beef chow fun (dry
It's been many years since I have been there, but I was not disappointed. The flavor of the food was the kind that I grew up with. Very good, down-to-earth type of food. Not fancy, over-the-top sauces. Seasoned just enough and still savor the freshness of what you're eating.. beef, fish, vegetables.
Great spot, we were craving cake noodles and they didn't disappoint!
BBQ char siu ribs is priced by the pound now and they use the cheaper rib tips not the ribs. Our party of 9 they gave us 3 pounds without telling us in advance. They close at 8
I first came here in 2017 and the food was amazing! And the service was very good.I just came back again during our Christmas vacation and I am so glad we did! First of all this is the only restaurant my toddler sat through a meal and didn't cry at LOL. Anyways the food was delicious once again! And
Go early or take out. The food was good and tasted fresh. The restaurant is really "LOCAL" with no ambiance and small. Go early if you want a table as it doesn't seem like a place that takes reservations. If you are looking for fine dining, this is not for you but if you want a place where I saw man
This place has great food for a decent price. The building they're in is very inconspicuous, but I like the anonymity. Despite that, it's crowded every night. If you want a table after 6pm, you should call and reserve before hand. I haven't had a chance to try their moon cakes yet, but I'm hoping to
This is one of our attorney's favorite restaurants...we had two casseroles, one beef and tendon (delicious), the other was lamb (okay, but not as good), spicy eggplant (great!) and beef fried rice (good but could have used more seasoning). The price is right, the service is quick... recommended.
The place was a little hard to find because the blinds on the porch block you from seeing the sign. We had to park behind the building and walk up to see that it was in fact there. It is a small restaurant but homey. Two of the teenagers with us are picky about food and we had to explain that is is
Authentic family style Cantonese meal. Probably the only place in Honolulu where I felt I could experience the kind of Cantonese dining experience I remember from San Fran, Vancouver and even Toronto. The menu is not Westernized as in many of the other "Chinese" eateries around town. We called ahead
