Uncle spoon recently visited Zippy's Nimitz location, and overall, it was a satisfying dining experience. The atmosphere at Zippy's Nimitz is casual and welcoming. The restaurant has a clean and comfortable seating area with a Hawaiian touch to its decor. The layout is spacious, allowing for ample room between tables, and the overall ambiance is relaxed and family-friendly. The service at Zippy's Nimitz was commendable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They promptly seated us and took our orders. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and throughout the meal, the staff regularly checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. Zippy's is well-known for its local-style comfort food, and this branch lived up to its reputation. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including local favorites like saimin, plate lunches, and the famous Zippy's chili. The portions were generous, and the presentation of the dishes was appealing. Zippy's Nimitz offers reasonable prices for its quality and quantity of food. Considering the portion sizes and the overall taste, the meals provide good value for money. It's an excellent spot for a casual lunch or dinner, especially if you're looking for satisfying local comfort food without breaking the bank. Zippy's Nimitz: I took my family here for a 4th of July brunch. It just so happened that they have something NEW on the menu. The Chicken Katsorean - Chicken Katsu but with a twist, it has the world famous Zippy's Korean sauce. The sauce for the Korean Style Fried Chicken but on the Katsu plate! How exciting! It has sweet and savory flavors and also comes with the katsu sauce. The food was just exceptional with the Korean sauce. Though it is only available for the month of July 2023 (as of this writing) maybe in the future it'll be a permanent part of the menu. Great job Zippy's 👏 Cool part of the experience was the QR Code to pay for your meal. No need to wait. Smart way to manage the staff shortages and help the food industry workers from burn out. Try it out and enjoy 🤙🏼

I admit that Zippy's is an acquired taste - however the Nimitz has always been a breakfast favorite of mine. It's just a roadside dinner that serves yummy spam and eggs with rice. It's clean and often quiet most of the time. It's not a tourist spot. I usually stop there on my way to Home Depot, Lowes, City Mill and Costco which are just around the corner.

I’ve eaten at several different Zippy’s locations throughout the island and this one is my favorite. The servers are always nice and the overall experience is so chill. I usually come for breakfast because it tends to not be too busy, at least on weekdays. My go to breakfast is any meal with rice and Portuguese sausage. If I’m coming here for lunch, I go with the Korean fried chicken. Perfectly fried every time and the perfect portion size. Come here if you want Hawaiian comfort food at a good value.
