Takonoki - Honolulu - Photo album

Pretty good Japanese izakaya! Decor is traditional Japanese, photos on the wall on the staircase up to the seating area are of Japanese celebrities who have visited before. Japanese cinema posters plaster the walls. Went here after a long day and sat right at the bar. Place was mostly Japanese and
Wonderful experientce at Izakaya Takonoki in Waikiki Hawaii. I have been here several times and always enjoyed the food, environment and service. Definate 20 stars.
Great service, fantastic food, reasonable prices, and very authentic old style Japanese atmosphere that was perpetuated by the fact that everyone else in the restaurant was Japanese. It was much busier when I first got here, but a lot of people left before I took the photo. If you like Japanese food
Cozy place to get some Japanese appetizer with Sake.
Great dishes for their prices.
Good place for dinner, and tasty 明太子お茶漬け
Izakaya with a very old school, traditional feel. Judging by the amount of Japanese being spoken, is frequented by a lot of Japanese customers. Enjoyable experience, sitting at the Bar, having a few beers, eating and watching the chef make your dinner at the grill.
This is a traditional izakaya. I think some of the reviewers don't understand what an izakaya is supposed to be, but it is pretty authentic. They'll even keep bottles for you for a few months. A small number of the food items are hit and miss, but most of it is quite good. The okonomiyaki is top
My favorite Japanese beer drinking joint in Waikiki. Chirimen cabbage and Asari Cabbage, and Sake... DONE!
Place was great. If your in Hawaii looking for Japanese head here. From seattle, you can't find places like this on every corner
Great Japanese sake bar with many different tapas. We go there every time while in waikiki
Not quite as good as I remembered it from previous visits but still a better than average place for Waikiki.
Yummy japanese pancake and tapas foods!feel like being in Japan.
Sitting at the bar, feels like a trueJapanese izakaya. It's not fancy, but it's not supposed to be.
