Really enjoyed my tsukemen! The black garlic tonkotsu broth is super flavorful, rich and salty, so it's nice to be able to control how much I get with each bite of noodles. And those noodles are superior - the perfect chewy, bouncy texture. The soft boiled egg had a perfectly gooey yolk and those pork slices are HEFTY. Also quite enjoyed the crispy shrimp bao. Definitely would recommend for any of your ramen cravings! :)

The Buns:
- We ordered both the pork and shrimp. The shrimp was better - a very unique flavor profile.
Tsukemen:
- We ordered the extra pork tsukemen that came with three portions of the pork belly with extra noodles (sized up to large), along with black garlic broth. It was good enough for two women. The broth was thick and umami, and the pork belly was hefty. Honestly the food here was far better than what I had in Osaka a few weeks ago.
Parking:
- Very limited. Also, the road that runs right in front of the store is Pensacola St, so watch out for the incoming stream of cars that would last for a couple minutes.

Went here for dinner tonight. I ordered the shoyu cabbage ramen and my fiancé had the gyoza and kakuni donburi. Both portions were generous and came out quickly. My ramen was veryyyy fishy so beware if you get shoyu. My noodles seemed homemade and my fiances pork was so tender it basically fell apart. It was about $32 with tax, so a pretty good deal!

The noodle came in the best consistency. We got the tonkatsu and goma soup. My favorite was the goma one. The soup came with chunks of super tender meat. The pork was super tender and delicious, so was the ajitama egg. We asked for our soups to be super spicy, but it wasn’t spicy enough for me lol. We added the combo with chicken karage and shrimp bao.

A must if you wish to satisfy your cravings for dipping noodle ramen and savory marinated pork. Serving is plenty and well worth the price. Won't put a dent if on a budget.

Great food! Service was prompt & patient as we waited for 1 more member of our group who unfortunately, didnt make it due to a servere shortage of parking. Kinda threw a wet blanket on our family dinner plans.
Suggest driving in one vehicle if possible & be prepared to walk to the restaurant due to the parking conditions in Kaka'ako.

Had some ramen here with my family. I got the Shoyu Tsukemen and the Shoyu Ramen.
The Shoyu Tsukemen had a sweet taste to the broth which I didn’t expect, but as I kept eating, it really complimented the the Kakuni Pork Belly which came with the noodles. The Tsukemen noodles were thicker than a normal ramen noodle, and they had a chewy texture which soaked up the broth when dipped inside.
Different from the Shoyu Tsukemen broth, the Shoyu Ramen did not have that sweet taste to it, but had a significant dashi taste to it, which was delicious as well.
Both dishes were outstanding, and would love to come back again soon if I’m in Oahu again.

Went there when it first opened so no crowds. Service was fast, friendly and professional with a touch of Aloha. First of all I am a Charsiu person. I started with the Kakuni Bao, which has a fantastic flavor and soft texture. Nice and warm appetizer. I've had allot of Groza in my life and I must say in my opinion I liked that the filling stayed together when biting into it. Most Gyoza when bitten tend to fall apart. Crunchy grilled bottoms and soft outer wrapper. I ordered the Super Menya. Nice firm bouncy noodles and the Tonkotsu broth was very steeped in flavor complications, slices of marinated Bamboo Shoots, Green Onions and a whole Soft boiled Egg which the yoke was just soft enough to dip your noodles in but not runny. The Charsiu that was included had 3 heavy, very thick and soft pieces which was very much to my liking. I believe I have found my new favorite place to eat Ramen.

Delicious garlic shrimp, and kaarage fried chicken. The tonkatsu broth choices were all delicious. The pork that came with my noodle was too hard and dry for me. Level 2 spice was spicy for me, but still tasty! Limited parking and seating choices, and the bathroom could use an update, but the service is friendly and I would eat here again :)

Best tsukemen place ever! Always the first meal I have after coming back to Hawaii. It’s simply delicious, noodle cooked perfectly, charshu feels like melting in the mouth, and the flavorful soup always make me feel like I can eat ten bowls of those noodles.

Excellent tsukemen hands downs. I love the small mom and pops vibe - literally no wait compared to trying to eat off Waikiki strip or others. The black Tonkatsu broth is thick and thick noodles just the way I like it. Medium spice rather light - just a tinge but perfect so my lips aren’t numb. Ask or accept the extra garlic and chili (like small cheeto rice balls) for that extra ooompf. Char siu was fat and fatty. Added a mini chicken karaage donburi for $5 for the lil one. Be ready for a good nap after this. They close at 2:30 I think. We came at 1:45 and got a table right away.

Best tsukemen i have ever had and I've been to Japan 8 times (including Kyushu). The ramen is perfectly cooked and the broth is divine, we wanted to come back but had already decided on our dinners before arriving in Oahu. Can't wait to come back. The chasu is so thick and caramelised we just love it.

The fried garlic shrimp is a must appetizer here! So crunchy and yummy. The tsukemen soup was a bit salty but overall great choice if you feel like craving some ramen/noodle.

Excellent food and friendly service. The tsukemen was amazingly pungent, and the spicy additions and raw garlic on the table pushed the taste factor over the top. The shrimp and fried chicken was also amazing. The wontons were okay, definitely worth the happy hour prices. A little bit on the pricey side, but I think the taste and the quality makes it worth it for an occasional treat.

Menya Tsukemen($17.25) was very good. I loved thick noodles and tasty kakuni pork. But I felt it was too small as for the price. I needed some more dishes. Ramen ($12.25) sounded reasonable.

We got there about 8:30, thinking they closed at 9:30, but actually they have a "last order" at 9:00, which meant we were pretty rushed, and it was clear that the kitchen was closing - they'd shut off the fryer for the night already. Disappointing. The bao were pretty tasty, the buns were good, though the pork was a lot - big thick slices of belly. The tsukamen was really tasty, really good balance, and not something I see much in Japanese restaurants where I'm from, but the ramen was pretty underwhelming, very salt-forward without any other depth of flavor. Wouldn't get the ramen again. Overall, I didn't think it stood out in the city for ramen or japanese places.

We got there less than half an hour before they were closing for lunch with a party of seven and they were extremely pleasant about letting us eat there. The food was incredible. I'm not a ramen expert, but it is some of the best I've ever had. One word of caution for folks who are not used to this level of spiciness. Level one is pretty spicy on its own. Service was super quick. Our server was fantastic and did a great job of making recommendations for us. Got the Super Mental Ramen with Black Tonkotsu brothand garlic shrimp bao. Also got the Gyoza, which everyone practically inhaled as soon as it hit the table. Literally had to tell everyone to stop so I could snap a pic. Washed it down with some Sapporo. This is not your typical tourist spot, but definitely worth seeking it out. Note their temporary hours.
