What a wonderful spot! Pretty unassuming, but the food is GOOD! The banana flower salad was completely new to us and so refreshing. The curry soup is something I haven’t seen before. It was tasty and filling. The Thai iced tea was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sugar and caffeine. Everything was clearly freshly made with fresh, quality ingredients. Great prices and large portions. A simple joy. 100% recommend.
Good Pho that I had, for $16.50. I recommend the dish. I had their pasta dishes before, and I would recommend as well. All Vegan food.
The best mapo tofu I've ever had! All the food is delicious, with so many options and different cuisines. We visited twice while staying in Honolulu, and I was impressed with the speed of service and how hot and fresh all the dishes were.
We had the Vegetable tempura which came with a side of a sweet and spicy sauce. The crispy tofu in the tempura was really good!
For the main course, we ordered the Joy noodle soup and Puttanesca pasta. The soup was the best noodle soup my wife and I have ever had. The serving size is also pretty big so we had to pack the pasta and it tasted okay when cold. But we're definitely going back for the soup.
They have a few parking spots at the back of the building, so do check that out before trying to find roadside parking.
Was amazed at the selection at this fully vegan eatery! Not just Vietnamese food but also Thai, Western, and more. The banh xeo and banh mi were delicious. Nice to eat off real dishes, a bit hard to find in Hawaii!
Maybe the best vegan food on Oahu, definitely among my favorite vegan restaurants!! It’s such a joy to be able to order off an entire great menu without having to worry about looking for the vegan section. The Banana Flower salad is a fantastic starter, I love #42 The Spring Roll Noodle and #24 Joy Noodle Soup. But I don’t think you can go wrong anywhere on the menu. Super friendly staff!! Thank you Simple Joy for being a delicious vegan restaurant!!
Food is really good. Hell yeah, cozy little restaurant, the staff are polite and just I said, the food is really really good. My food was brought pretty fast. Ambiance wise it's good and A.C temperature was also moderate, neither too cold nor hot. Dishes and cutlery were spotless. Over all a really nice place to bring friends or perhaps even eat alone.
Amazing vegan food with lots of options.
A simple, basic restaurant but the food was all so good!
We had the veggie clay pot, dumplings, pumpkin soup and fresh sugar cane juice - all was amazing and absolutely order again.
They were also very accommodating with changes, such as steaming instead of deep frying the dumplings.
Highly recommend, regardless if you are vegan or not.
Everything was delicious! Even for my husband, that is a meat eater! I want to go back and try other dishes.
We had the soondubu and kimchi which was very good comes in a hot clay pot, the Mongolian dish, Tom yum soup, and fried rice we were able to tell them to make it without mushrooms which they were able to accommodate us. Everything was tasty and flavorful. Most dishes range from 11-17$. Our meal was about $60 plus drinks which isn't too bad at all. Soups are sizeable as well. The sugarcane juice was really good as well. Parking can be extremely hard thankfully there were a few free metered parking spaces close by that were free. Excellent service and food.
