Great service... They treat you like family here, or maybe better than your family?!?!? Definitely a place for locals and open to tourists wanting a local experience while having attentive service. Food is very good and half the menu are specials that vary by the day, though there is a weekly rout
Incredible comfort food, nice ambiance, very clean in this time of Covid. For the amount of food and quality you are getting with each order, the prices are great. Good selection of Okinawan and Japanese food. My wife is big on food coming out hot and it definitely was. Some of the best shoyu pork I
First time grabbing some takeout at Utage. We were not disappointed at all and all were good portions. Ordered the nori wrapped ahi tempura and two Okinawan dishes: pig feet soup and shoyu pork. Pig feet soup is my favorite Okinawan dish and I was extremely satisfied! Shoyu pork was just perfect!
Authentic Okinawan and Japanese food. Both their potato leaf soup and miso soup were delicious. Their okinawan soba with shou pork was so tasty! Also, the chicken katsu, tonkatsu and salmon were cooked perfectly. Best of all...it's a complete meal!
Great Okinawan cuisine with that home style flavor. Their shoyu pork and Goya dishes remind me of my friends mom's home cooking and brings back a lot of great memories. The service was great and very attentive. Well worth the effort of driving to Kalihi to have lunch. Give them a try, you won't regr
2 choice Utage Special was more than my stomach could handle...forced myself to eat scoop of ice cream that came with it. Tables are appropriately spaced, server utilizing PPE, temperature check upon entering..Utage is following all guidelines to keep you safe.
Great place for comfort food. Traditional Okinawan / Japanese / Local entrees. Prices may seem steep but you get a complete meal including entree, soup or salad, tsukemono, beverage and even dessert. I feel it's actually a good value for the quality of food and what you get. They even serve Green
Delicious traditional Japanese with delicious tempura and Ramen. Large portions and very fresh Ahi. Kids enjoyed a ramen they split. The waitress was very nice and helpful and was very quick to get us setup to order. Overall a very good Izakaya.
Miso soup was perfect-not salty, pork long rice soup - special for that day, of course it was tasty. Shoyu pork and poke combo consumed pdq. Ahi katsu furikake fresh n hot, but a bit dry-that's what the katsu sauce is for! Staff so friendly, prompt in refills, etc.
It was delicious! Shoyu Pork Donburi, Nori Wrapped Ahi...dessert Green Tea Ice Cream and Vanilla Macadamia Nut Ice Cream!
This is now a must stop spot for me. Growing up in Okinawa I crave the food but have a hard time finding it. Here the have traditional Okinawan and Japanese dishes. The goya was good. The tonkatsu tasted just like it would at home.
We ordered the “oriental breakfast” this time because we visited at 10am. This place never disappoints. I love the food and the staff is amazing. Love love Utage!
Amazing food, really friendly and fast service! Make reservations this place gets busy fast!
Delicious food! Great service!

Best Okinawan food
When you can get it, get the potatoe rice soup as part of your meal. My goto is the Goya (bittermelon) w/ bacon. Occasionally when available I get the Asparagus w/ bacon instead.
Temperature check upon entry. (Plus) Spaced seating & sanitized tables after guests leave. (Plus) Now, on to the food...the chicken, eggplant & tofu in shoyu base was savory with some sweetness. (Plus) The pigs feet soup served hot with fairly clear broth was decent with radish slices and chopped ve
