Great ramen and awesome happy hour deal on Orion beer which is pretty good! Got the kurotan (black garlic) and the special - recommend the kurotan. Also apparently the gyoza is award winning? Pretty yummy too!
Ramen was just right size and very tasty. I had the Manichi ramen. Pork belly Bao Bun, ugh so tender and great flavor. Who thought cheese would be great on gyoza as well. Service was also awesomw.
I really enjoyed this spot. The food was amazing the service was prompt, friendly and they constantly made sure I had water and what I needed. Food portions were spot on and I was so full after this! So delicious!!!!
Came in when they opened. Friendly staff, answered questions. Quick service. Got pork gyōza and the Original Red ramen. It was a little spicy, but nothing super hot. I really enjoyed it.
I just had the Manichi Special Ramen, it was some of the best I have ever had! The broth was excellent!
Food is delicious, we’ve not been disappointed with any of the dishes we’ve ordered. I have to admit the Volcano Ramen dish and nacho gyozas are my favorite, I like spicy foods. Water is always served and we usually get the Asahi beer on tap is cold and refreshing. Service is fast and the staff very pleasant. It’s a small restaurant and that was the reason to try it the first time, reminds us of the ramen shops in Japan.
This is my FAVORITE restaurant for ramen and gyozas in all Oahu! Everything is so tasty and fresh. The service is TOP NOTCH and they are super fast. I dine in or get takeout and is ALWAYS the same. I have been here more than 10 times already and will be coming back like 100 more times. 😄 I just love them too much! Ooh and the prices are super affordable compared to others around.
EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! And the food was great!!! The watercress salad was a great start, perfect and light and always love their dressing!! Was so good, I didn’t take a picture cause it went so fast!! Hahaha their ramen selection is WOW, hard decision but we decided with the Special tonkotu and miso butter corn from their specialty selection on the menu.. YUM!! And their gyoza deluxe? Hold onto your taste buds cause your first bite? Is just the beginning cause after the next few chews, you’ll taste new flavors - just from that same bite!! The toppings on the gyoza is a nice blend and invitation to a party in your mouth!! And did I say, EXCELLENT SERVICE?! Our guy was awesome, we had our drinks, our napkins and chopsticks - everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Didn’t have to ask for anything, and he was always polite when he would come by and check how we doing.. If only other restaurants could give great service like he does, that would be awesome!! And the tab? Affordable, they don’t rob you like other food places do. If you like ramen? Check this place out!! You will not be disappointed!!
I was looking for a lunch spot in the area and my parents wanted ramen. A comb through my bookmarks showed me Manichi Ramen, recommended by a co-worker, and it did not disappoint. We (party of four) got there on July 4th at 11:45ish and were seated immediately. There was probably one other table dining there and we were far enough away from them, which I appreciated. I guess the trick to dining in without crowds is to come on a holiday.
We started with the karaage, and you can't really go wrong with that. It came out piping hot, crispy, and flavorful. We also got an order of the Garlic Butter Shrimp Gyoza, which seemed to be one of the more popular gyozas. I thought it was only okay. When the menu said garlic butter, I was expecting North Shore garlic shrimp vibes. But sadly, this was not that. Instead, it was more Trader Joe's gyoza vibes with a bunch of scallion and garlic paste on top.
Luckily, the ramen was much better. After I had the curry nikutama over at Marugame Udon, I guess I was on a curry kick because I ended up ordering the creamy curry ramen here and I loved it. The broth was rich and flavorful but not TOO rich. The noodles were also cooked perfectly. Dad had the Volcano Tonkatsu ramen (too spicy for me, but he enjoyed it), and Mom and Hubby both had some variations of the miso (also great, but nothing unique). Overall, everything was pretty great. I liked that they had non-ramen options, such as donburi and udon. So if you have someone in your party who isn't really feeling ramen, there is something for them too. The other gyozas sound interesting too but after the garlic shrimp, I'm a bit skeptical. But that's not enough to stop me from coming back for some more ramen. There was also some special that caught my eye with curry/tomato/rice/meat, I don't really remember but they already got me there.
This review is for vegetarians. Only one option, but it was delicious. I didn't feel I was missing. The vegetable gyoza was also so good. I'm so glad I found this place before leaving the island. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is always amazing, staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is great. I eat here as often as I can!
It's perfect for couples or medium sized groups. Their ramen broth is delicious and salty and their noodles are always perfectly chewy. I also love their takoyaki - it's perfectly sauced and well cooked. I wish the order came with more! Their gyoza are as advertised - not dry and very delicious.
The staff are always very friendly and personable, I look forward to coming in every time. The small restaurant means there can be a wait but the intimate setting is worth it in my opinion.
Sorry no pics. Phone having issues
Got the Miso Butter Corn. Noodles were real good, firm and tasty. Miso broth was a little on the thin side and when the butter was mixed in was a creamy smooth tasty broth. 2 pieces of thinly sliced charsiu was ok. Started with Cheese Gyoza, very different from normal ones. Very stretchy cheese and the filling was so much more Flavorarable the regular ones
Also had a Pork and Charsiu Bao Buns. The Pork Kakuni one was on the dry side and tasted like a slice of pork chop, but the Charsiu had a nice sweet sauce and tasted good. We were the only people in there for almost 30 minutes so the service was fast. Overall I was satisfied with everything.
Best ramen I’ve had since Tokyo. Very good broth, perfect amount of spice. Healthy portion of noodles, I don’t think you need to get extra. But definitely add the corn!
This is a great Ramen place. The soup, noodles and pork were all very good. Service and atmosphere were nice as well. I would definitely go back to this place again to try different Ramen bowls.
Aww, it was so good. I had shrimp tonkotsu from their special. I have had so many bowls of ramen in Japan but had only a few opportunities to have shrimp flavour in ramen and just love it. Of course the service was quick and satisfied my hunger fast. I normally watch amount of salt to take so I should've left the soup but almost emptied the bowl because it was so good. Ramens are not cheap but it's in Hawaii, right across from Ala Moana. Can't complain.
Basil parmesan is sooo good! I highly recommend you to try this paired with ocean salad.
Manichi special is good as well. Customer service is good in here, authentic Japanese service at its best!
Enjoy juandering fellow Juanderers!
