Good coffee in a very trendy setting with outdoor seating only. The sunrise shooter (?, whatever it was called), of orange juice & club soda & simple syrup & 2shots of espresso on ice was surprisingly delicious. Lovely americano ( straight, clean taste& rich aroma). Some pretty open-faced toasts, etc.
Major downside is that all cups and serving ware is disposable, creating a huge amount of rubbish.
Music can be kind of loud.
I still dream of the grilled halloumi burger here. It’s the best veggie burger/sandwich I’ve had in a long time! It has all the best ingredients— so so so worth it 💯 My friends all loved what they ordered. Their cold brew was sooooo delightful too. Definitely coming back.

The staff were super friendly! Their espresso (from Sight Glass in San Francisco) was pretty good. Definitely not over extracted. My partner ordered the lavender latte which had a very strong lavender flavor. Almost too strong. We also split the ricotta toast which was awesome! Overall, would highly recommend.

I love their avocado toast and coffee! For what you get, it is very expensive…and the girls that work there are nice but sometimes I feel like they don’t like being asked questions.
Not a lot of shady spots, but I know they do what they can. I would come here again, but I much prefer Morning Brew or 9Bar.
Absolutely delicious! The salad and lemonade are my favorite. Seating is all outside (most of it shaded) but they also have a to go option. The bathrooms are shared with all of the shops in the area so you will need to ask for the code. Garage parking is also validated.
Located within the Salt restaurant area in Kakaako, great cafe for breakfast! Upscale seating area and small retail area to purchase logo apparel. Absolutely love this breakfast toast items, especially this smoked salmon toast: thick slices of bread, layered with cream cheese, fresh smoked salmon, covered with capers and red onions! High end La Marzocco espresso machine, which produces wonderful lattes. Love their cafe mocha, beautiful foam drizzle, perfect flavor (for me, not too sweet).
Very cute spot, delicious food. Bread was super fluffy, the halloumi burger was incredible especially the tomato jam on it. Salmon toast was awesome.
The coffee was really great! The tea was good at first got very watered down. I wish the flavor of the tea was stronger. As for the ricotta toast and the avocado toast, I think that the ricotta toast could’ve had more ricotta on it. There was such a thin layer on there. The avocado toast was okay. The bread used for both toasts was unimpressive. I’ve had better generic grocery store brand bread. I would go here for the coffee for sure!
Such a cute place!! Their coffee was pretty good, they have a good selection of breakfast foods. Service there was great!
Get the lox. We also ordered the ricotta toast which was yummy. But lox Def beats out. For drinks I got a soy green tea latte which was also v enjoyable. I don't think I'd go out of my way for arvo. But if I'm in the area I would go again. Try it our if you're at salt.
Wow, their food and drinks are delicious! We came back to back twice. We had vanilla lattes, meatballs, egg salad toast, and their salmon toast. ALL SOOOO GOOD!

Perfect breakfast/lunch spot! We came at 11 am -11:30 am for late breakfast, and the place was packed with people. It is just a small kiosk where you order food, and you can sit right outside; once your order is ready - they scream your name very loud, so you pick it up.
FOOD
The food was delicious! We ordered an egg sandwich, a halloumi burger, and a ricotta sandwich - everything was excellent and instagrammable. To say that it was super tasty, I cannot, but the taste matches the spot.
AMBIENCE
The downsides are that they do not have enough places to sit and the tables are dirty. They do not have a runner who would constantly wipe clean the tables. Also, the trash area is gross, I am not sure how often it is cleaned, but certainly, they could do it more often.
Overall, I recommend this place for breakfast, coffee, or/and a quick chat with a friend. The guys know what they do and how to make it super instagrammable.
This place is a three plus or a weak four because of the cleanliness aspect. I would want to see the place cleaner.
Cute place for a light breakfast. Coffee is delicious but much smaller proportions than Starbucks next door. Still worth it.

I remember when this cafe first moved into Salt a few years ago. Since then they've added to the menu, renovated, moved locations and added a beautiful energy to the Salt at Kakaako location

There is lots of outdoor seating, few options for indoor seating. If you're planning to go during sunny hours , try to get a shaded/umbrella covered table because not all of them have coverage
Suggest trying the Charcoal Latte or Lavender Latte (on ice or hot). It's unique and delicious!
The fruit+ricotta cheese toast is delicious as well as the avocado toast!

Arvo sticks to the very basics. There are fruit bowls and granola, avocado toast and tonics. There’s even homemade ricotta and nutella with coconut. 🥥 And it all shows up to your outside table looking like it’s been run through a paid app filter. But once you actually start eating, you realize the food isn’t just pretty, it’s pretty damn good. 🏝
