I’m Colombian and was very surprised to find this spot while visiting Hawaii. The staff i met during the day & night are very friendly and welcoming. I wasn’t expecting much of these empanadas since i was in the middle of the Pacific and far away from Colombia but they were actually very flavorful. However, the only downside is that they reheat the empanadas so i wish they would be made fresh.
Beef potato is gooood. So is the chicken. Try the white sauce and green sauce with the potato and try the green sauce with the chicken. Delicious. Limited seat but it’s a food truck, but found random chairs. Would eat again. Also like the corn dough
Authentic Colombian cuisine right here in Honolulu!! Absolutely delicious!! And Juan Miguel is a compliment to the food!! Great choice when in Waikiki and are feeling hungry. We will return!!! Gracias!!!!
Fantastic experience. First time having empanadas. They are delicious. We had one of each highly recommend. Gentleman was extremely kind and helpful. Exactly the type of establishment you'd like to go to support.
These were by far the BEST flaky empanadas I have ever had. Normally empanadas are to thick and minimal filling on the inside. NOT Mamis!!! These were stuffed full and exquisite. I had the beef, beef and potato& arroz con pollo all delicious. You can get two sauces..I chose the green and garlic. Apparently the green is the fav and it’s good but my favorite was the garlic. It added to the flavor of the empanadas more in my opinion.
Alex has a great personality for this gig and is clearly passionate about his food. I would recommend this truck to anyone. The empanadas were fresh, hot, delicious and came accompanied with 4 sauces.
Omg. Like really, good Lord these were good! The food (empanadas and arepa) was just excellent and the popsicle we had was fantastic. Pricing is quite reasonable.
The proprietor is a super nice guy and was really great to interact with.
You MUST order in advance by texting the phone number. You will be sent the menu for the day - it changes based on ingredients and such - and you can text back your order. It is a busy place but It worked seamlessly for us.
We will DEFINITELY be ordering again.

Very delicious South American food. Couldn't get enough of it. As a cheese lover, I loved their triple cheese empanadas. At $4 for an empanada, I found it reasonable compared to other places around Waikiki.
Was in Hawaii on vacation and stopped at Mami’s Empanadas food truck. Cannot say enough good things about the food here. It is ethentic Cuban food and it was AMAZING. The man who made our food was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Hidden away empanada truck with good empanadas. Great ice pops. Recommend giving it a try.

Excellent Colombian empanadas. Also serves Cuban sandwiches and Colombian-style hot dogs. The owner is very busy so it takes a little while but not too long. Excellent! Highly recommended.
So good, we ordered twice! This truck is located on the side street next to the Hyatt Place. We tried all flavors. The crust on each empanada was crisp and fluffy. The beef filling and samosa filling truly burst with flavor. Also, get extra green sauce!
One of the best food trucks in Oahu and I maybe the only Hispanic food spot on the island. The chef was really courteous and showed us the daily menu which is under the register and offered to explain empanadas to use. He also told us that he doesn’t deep fry the empanadas he air fries them and they come out really crunchy and delicious. We ordered the Colombian beef and potato, an Argentinean, and a cheese lovers and were amazed. The Colombian ones were perfect and super authentic. Also the the aji is super authentic and delicious definitely recommend. Will absolutely return.
