Review 3660 On The Rise - Honolulu

Dined with a group of 7. Had almost all the appetizers and the butterfish as the main. The food was excellent. Definitely beats expectations given the reviews are slightly mixed. As a local resident, would definitely recommend to locals and those visiting!

Open for private events only. Marcy and staff were amazing and friendly. They went above and beyond with the service. Food was really good too. Highly recommended for small gatherings.

Excellent food...ambience...service!!! Our server...sorry but didn't get his name...was great!!! We had the ahi katsu, crab cake, and escargot "temptations"...all were terrific. For dinner I had the Chinese steamed opah...very well done...chef let the fish star front and center. Others in our party had the lamb chops, miso butter fish, steak (perfectly med rare), chicken, fresh catch (mahimahi), and NZ salmon...everyone seemed 100% pleased with their selections. We also had dessert...bread pudding and 4 or 5 others...all plates were clean by the end of the night. A definite 5 star night!!! We will be back!!!

We've been a loyal customer for years. Great for large parties and events. Food and quality remained the same. Had the soy sake butterfish. Salad and the shrimp and ahi appetizers. So Ono! Of course would always have room for dessert!

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Scott was our server and was very knowledgeable about the menu and also very kind. He gave us his honest views of what he thought was good and what he would recommend for us. My wife and I shared 4 appetizers and a dessert. Everything we had was delicious. Mahalo for a great dinner!

Service is always exceptional on a consistent basis. Food is top notch, especially the ahi katsu — a favorite. Creme brûlée is also a favorite. Personally, I prefer the appetizers to the main dishes. There’s no shame in doing all appetizers with drinks and desserts to follow, folks. Parking is easy too.

The Salmon and Butterfish were delicious. The Escargo is a must for appetizers. When eating desert I would recommend their famous Bread Pudding. Very cozy and romantic but we went there as a family.

This restaurant should be on everyone's list to dine in the Honolulu area. Order a double portion of the lobster wontons as a main course and you won't need another thing. Butterfish with mashed was perfection. Eric my server, waiter was outstanding. Excellent white wines by the glass.

Elegant setting, great service, a memorable night with friends.

Amazing food and service. Every appetizer, entree and dessert was on point and the staff from hostess to waiter were personable and attentive. Highly recommend this awesome dine in experience.

Very great staff and really good food. Bring cash for parking though because they don't have an updated system to pay for parking. You have to bring the exact amount ($6), remember your parking spot number and basically fold the money until it fits into the slot, and then use a small tool they have tied to it to push the money in.

Friendly staff and most helpful. The food was great as well. Reason for not 5 stars was lack of choices for food and wine lists. They are not working on their normal menu due to the covid-19 situation obviously and for which the reason for the 4 star vs 5 star rating. Everything we did choose (based on a availability) was delicious. Will go again as soon as they get back to their normal operations.

Took my wife there for a nice dinner, so we dressed up...wore shoes. Atmosphere was nice, food good but priced a lil high cause they set up as a higher end restaurant. Service was good, but the servers need training for such a set up. Parking and location was good. Overall good.

My husband's favorite restaurant. The service is exceptional. Pricey but really good foods. I like the ambiance and the chocolate soufflé with mocha sauce was heaven. My husband had salmon and ahi katsu and loved it.

Consistently delicious. We love the ahi katsu, fried calamari. The kids menu is exquisitely done. Steak is aleays spit on. Waitstaff is courteous and attentive. My family has eaten many other places and keeps on coming back for birthdays, bringing out of town family and just because. Not sure what the lackluster review was all about. Absolutely not the case.

Thanks Trish. This place rocked. Not easy to find but worth the trouble (ok trouble is harsh). We tried a few of the apps and the four of us shared meals....wow! And the cocktails are amazing.

Nothing Fancy. We ate here for the first time this week. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. I have paid similar prices at other restaurants in Honolulu that delivered 'better'.... well... lots of things. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a big letdown. It felt plain, 'old', and outdated. Also, there are several places in the restaurant that look cluttered. The menu was decent with some interesting selections especially in the first flavors section. The martini list was fun to peruse with over 70 martini flavors, but my drink was small and not very good. All of our food was good, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great, but it was nothing special or inventive. For that price point, I do like a little something 'out of the box.' I guess that's not what you get at this restaurant!

Best bread pudding with warm vanilla sauce!

Favorite. Another one of my favorites. I used to eat there at least once a week. Start off with their taro bread and it just gets better from there.

Even if you  don’t have a good relationship with tofu, I encourage you to try this preparation. Firm tofu is coated with Japanese style bread crumbs, pan-fried until a golden crust forms, then topped with a ginger scallion pesto that delivers a punch to your tastebuds. A delicately sweet garlic mirin broth and fire-roasted shiitakes round out the Asian flavors of this vegan-friendly appetizer. The Notes :  A nightly vegetarian/vegan entrée is available for $24.50. Last night (and on my prior two visits), the vegan special was penne pasta with roasted vegetable, tomato blah blah blah.
