Review Cj's New York Style Delicatessen - Honolulu

We were expecting an average deli but were pleasantly surprised with great tasting food friendly FAST service and good chats with the bartender! I had the Sadie Loves It vegetarian sandwich, it was soooo good! Eggplant with feta, cucumber, tomato, spinach, red pepper, and special mayo was a great combination, didn't even miss the meat 🤭 I had with a side of sweet potato fries- they gave me a mountain!! I had a bite of my daughter's hamburger with cheese, it was delicious like something you would find at an upscale burger place! Order of kids buttermilk dollar pancakes was tasty and satisfied the kiddo. The place was busy but turned around tables quickly. Also surprising was how quickly they were able to serve us on such a busy Sunday night- 5 stars just for that. The entire staff was friendly. Overall, we loved it. Family friendly and good selection of food! Thanks for the attention and the good eats 😋 🥪🍔🍟🥞

Hawaiian version of a classic NYC Deli. Well sort of anyways. Great breakfast. The Triple play is worth the sample. Beverages are also something special, get the Itch.

Friendly service even at a busy time. I had the Triple play. The loco Moco was very good and the pancakes were too! The Benedict was okay. I love that you can get breakfast all day.

We thought this was a solid breakfast place with delicious food. It gets busy but our server was very sweet and took great care of us. Food was good just not memorable. Come check this place out.

If you're so over having Hawaiian cuisine and have some hankering for really robust, hearty deli style food, then this comes very close. Large servings, not too expensive and delicious sammiches. Good service but the place does get really busy during peak hours, so be patient while waiting for a table to open up or while waiting for your order to arrive. They do up some choices with a Hawaiian twist.

Has mainland and traditional Hawaiian food. Deli sandwiches and breakfast served all day. Rueban piled high and grilled deliciously. Ask for crispy fries, they were good.
Josie Garrido
Food was good and outdoor seating very nice, close to many stores and beach

Good breakfasts. The Haupia French toast was perfectly cooked. Crispy and NOT soggy on the inside like at the Bali. That was yuck. Service was great. They are run off their feet but everyone was still happy.

Good brunch and deli place at the hilton hawaiian village area. Good selection of dishes. Food tastes good. Lots of local cuisine options too. It's expensive to dine here but then again which place isn't in Waikiki. Good place to eat outside resort restaurants and you don't have to even leave the area.

We love CJ's! It's usually our first stop after a long flight and checking in to our condo. The food is very good. Omelettes are excellent. The lunch/dinner menu has a wide variety to choose from and it's all good. Staff is friendly. It can get really crowded, so plan your visit for a time that's a little before or after the usual mealtimes.

Great Hawaiian meals and friendly staff. They humored my baby well. So we had really comfortable time at that time. Also it’s good price. So nice place.

We loved this! Ordered “French dip” - lots of roast beef, bread was the perfect “crusty” and the au jus wasn’t super salty. Will definitely come back!

We love CJ's- large portions; quick and friendly staff. We've made eating at CJ's part of our yearly trips to Waikiki. Did I mention large portions? The pancakes are great at breakfast; they have a chicken fingers/french fry "starter" that is enough for several people. The staff is always friendly and that goes along way!

Come hungry! Breakfast, lunch or dinner. The sandwiches are the best. The pastrami was easily enough for two. The MacNut Pancakes could have used some more nuts, but were still very good.

It is New York style food. It was good for a quick bite.

This place has THE BEST Lava Flow on the island!!! Also the food is good too, and the salads are VERY fresh!!! Try their version of French toast (breakfast is served all day), it is LITERALLY HEAVEN ON A PLATE!!!!!

The best thing about this resort was CJ’s! We are here almost every night. The drinks are spot on. My only complaint is they close very early.

The breakfast was fantastic! Our server was super nice!

Service & food was really good. The "famous shrimp" was rather rich and not to my liking but all other meals were great. Visited more than once. Definitely try the "Triple Play" This was amazing!

Very bad service. The servers are very rude. Made me wait for a long time, did not ask if I wanted anything. I left my Luau tickets on the table and went back right away. They were very indifferent and said that they likely threw it away. A server said "You left it. It's your fault". I do understand that it's my fault but they lack basic courtesy. Food is good but the bunch of teenagers working there are very unprofessional.

We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and was looking for breakfast before our hike at Diamond Head. Stumbled upon CJ's and gave this cute little place a try. I had the Triple Play, which included samplings of their loco moco, pancakes and eggs benny. Was a great combo!! Was too much food but definitely enjoyed it.

Located within Hilton's Hawaiian village, CJs has a huge range of New York deli styled food. From pancakes to pastrami Reuben's to hearty burgers, there's definitely something to satisfy everyone.

I had the chilli beef hotdog w a side of French fries and coleslaw while my friend had a pastrami Reuben. Both were delicious and very well priced given its location. Service was good - water always topped up and knowledgeable too.

I'd highly recommend anyone around to give this place a go! Seating area is quite big and relatively clean so not much to lose!! :-)

My friend and I both had pasta at CJs New York Style Deli, the pasta was ok apart from that there was plastic in mine. The service was friendly and the food came out rather quickly.

Yummy breakfast.

Breakfast was outstanding. I had the three eggs, Portuguese sausage and crispy hash browns. Everything was cooked perfectly.

I had the eggs with mushrooms and onions and it was delicious. My daughter had pancakes and loved them. My other daughter had pancakes which were undercooked in the middle. We sent them back and everything was great.

Terrible food for way to much $. Besides that, they are having a seating turf war with the pizza place next door that is beyond annoying for the patron trying to find a place to sit. Not worth the walk.

I Actually Had Great Experience. I'm glad I haven't read the reviews here prior to having breakfast. Service was fast, the omelet was delicious and my coffee mug was periodically refilled. On top of that, we made a mistake when calculating the tip - overstating the total. They were honest and corrected it, although they could have earned another $8 or so on that meal.

Service is bad, food rocks. This place has consistently served some of the best sandwiches in Honolulu. My wife works at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and probably eats here once a week. The sandwiches are pretty expensive, but if you can finish the whole thing, you are a big eater. The service here sucks however. The breakfasts are good too.

Horrible. Ordered a salad for ten dollars. When I got back to my room and opened it it was brown and red lettuce. I called and they said they would replace it if I brought it back so I did. Got a new salad and same thing, brown and red wilted lettuce. Just nasty. I can't believe someone would serve lettuce like that to a person.

Garbage. Crappy food crappy service.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village as a whole sucks.
Much better places to eat out side of the branch dividian they call the HHV
LuluS
Absolute PITS, worst service EVER. Kalen the host of this place has the most piss poor attitude of any host in any restaurant ever. If my family had not been so hungry and so upset after being unable to find a place to eat breakfast at the zoo of a resort called the hilton I would have definitely made a scene. So rude, rolling his eyes and extremely rude. On top of all that the food was total crap.
