Restaurant Suntory - Honolulu - Photo album

Fine Japanese restaurant. We liked their dishes very much, especially the Sushi Omakase and the hot pot with Wagyu beef. The service is polite and professional. The food is delicious. Prices are high, but worth the experience.
TLDR: Restaurant Suntory is basically three restos in one. We did the Teppanyaki and although pricy, very tasty if you're looking for an elevated experience. Basically think grown-up Benihana without the onion volcano. This was our last meal in Waikiki and I love the idea of restaurants within a re
Decent entry level Japanese fine dining spot. At Restaurant Suntory, the space is neatly divided into two sections - one focusing on the intricacies of Kaiseiki cuisine and the other on Teppanyaki. On this occasion, luck favored us with a last-minute reservation for the latter. We decided on the R
Went for lunch to try out their July’s Shunsai-zen special. Made reservations on Resy and emailed them to order the special beforehand. The first set came with tuna and squid sashimi, summer vegs with tosazu jelly, and Japanese style corn soup. This set was refreshing on the pallet since it was a ho
We had the teppanyaki and we chose the royal course. The sashimi, the clam chowder, everything was delicious. We paid extra for the garlic fried rice and it was worth it. The beef was excellent. They have drinks made with Japanese whiskey and gin. They have a martini made with vodka and sake! The se
I've been here twice so far and it's almost amazing. The dishes for the course menu are always delicious and they explain each one so well.
Suntory food is the art, every dish come with beautiful settings and stuff explain all food details. Food is great, suntory draft beer is good
The Omakase experience was truly incredible. Great chefs, helpful staff and delicious dishes. Presentation of everything was on point. 10/10 recommend.
Food is great. Experience should be better. As a restaurant that proudly prompts its $148/person course HIBIKI, you can easily spend $300+ if you have a party of two. At that point, everyone should have an expectation of a fine dining experience, right? But the experience is not just not there. *
Sukiyaki here was amazing, just like the taste of restaurants in Kyoto ! The Japanese wagyu beef one was better! Sake clams was fresh and juicy ! We arrived at the restaurant at around 19:00 and I called 30 minutes earlier for a reservation! Didn’t wait to be served. We must be there again !love it!
Our one fancy dinner during our 1 week vacation stay. I have to say, it did not disappoint! Do not be fooled with the small portions, after you finish the entire course you will be left satisfied. Everything was so dainty and intricately presented, I recommend you coming here for a special occasion
I went to the restaurant after the renovation, the decorations inside looks great. The food they serve is premium and flavorful. However, I do think the servers need some more training. For example, if the server accidentally spilled or dropped something on the table, he/she should come back and cl
We got the Shunsai Zen monthly special, and as usual all the different dishes were delicious and well presented. The highlights for me were the tempura, duck and soba. We went for my girlfriend's birthday and they gave her a free tempura ice cream 👍🏼
Good experience of traditional Japanese cuisine. I had the Tori set which included a variety of seafoods. My favorites are the pot and the green tea pudding. Sashimi is very fresh. There are too much food. I couldn’t finish the box sushi which came as the second last course before dessert.
Quiet authentic japanese dining experience. I ordered chefs selection of sashimi, sushi and a bowl of clam miso soup. The sashimi was ultra fresh and just the right quantity for 2 of us. However, i must admit my wife ate very little and I finished 90% of both sushi and sashimi. No tummy aches or GI
Absolutely Amazing. Celebrated my fiancé’s Birthday last week while visiting Hawaii & very happy to have chosen Suntory as her special Dinner for the night. We went with Omakase, which was beyond delicious. The host Asamisan was fenomenal and very polite. The entire ambiance of the restaurant is exc
Went for lunch before the 2nd lockdown order in August twice in a week. The first time we ordered monthly special. Each dish was freshly prepared and tasted amazingly good. 5 star there. 2nd time was Teppanyaki. No performance involved like others, but all was good. I give 4 because of the garli
