Been here numerous times over the years and the consistency is on point. I haven’t tried something I didn’t like, from the Banana Pancakes to the Loco Moco, Kim Chee fried rice, the pastries etc. Everything I’ve tried on the menu was delicious, awesome customer service and overall great dining experience.

Though I've always been a fan of their cream puffs, I finally had the chance to dine in their restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful. Every dish proved to be delicious and worthy of a repeat visit. The friendly customer service and swift food service were noteworthy, creating a positive atmosphere. It's worth mentioning that while the prices lean toward the higher side, the overall quality of the food makes it a place worth revisiting. I'm excited to be a repeat customer, savoring their delectable offerings with each visit.

I’ve eaten here before but never reviewed them, so here we go! I’ve been on a waffle roll lately which is what brought me, my spouse and a friend here for breakfast. ATMOSPHERE: Having taken over the former Sam Choy’s spot, it’s a sizable restaurant with its infamous bakery up front, large central bar, open-view kitchen and mix of seating styles. This is the company’s second location of the five in their arsenal. RESERVATIONS: None taken but we easily got in for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 9am. PARKING: Free and adequate. MENU: American & Hawaii-style cuisine for all three meals. Beer & wine. FOOD: Butter Rolls I can’t believe these delicious suckers are given to every table! Warm, soft, buttery heaven. Waffard - $16.95 I’ve been on a waffle roll recently so this caught my attention. Available at four of their five locations (sans the original Kalihi eatery), it’s a quartered waffle with custard from their infamous Coco Puffs lathered in between. Loved the crisp & creamy waffles but didn’t care for the overly sweet custard. Accompaniments included fresh strawberries, blueberries, sliced almonds and whipped cream. Mushroom Omelet w/ Cheese - $16.95 I added ham to be mixed in for a whopping $6.50 (sides pricing). I didn’t care for it as the egg to filling ratio was way off balance as just two-eggs were used. There was also an over abundance of cheese. It was like eating cheesy ham & mushrooms with a hint of egg. I also upgraded to fried potatoes for $0.95 as hash browns aren’t on the menu. Expecting yummy seasoned homestyle spuds, I received pretty bland slices of kennebecs. A small salad accompanied but I didn’t touch it. Corned Beef Hash - $6.95 Made fresh and not from the can, the patty had good flavor albeit a bit peppery, with a crisp crust. SERVICE: Our female server was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Truly local-style. Waters and coffees were constantly topped-off. TIP: Their hamburger steak’s/loco moco’s popularities are well-deserved as they’re very legit in the authenticity department. OVERALL: If you’re looking for a Hawaii style-diner, they are it.

Our favourite place for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner while visiting Oahu. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Our favourites were the oxtail soup, and the amazing complimentary butter buns with red jelly. Don't forget to try the insanely delicious poi mochi donuts!

By far the best bakery on the island. Full bakery and restaurant. Make sure you go early in the morning because it fills up fast. Don’t forget to get the guava juice and a poi donut. They’re delicious!

I have never gone to sit down and eat here, but I have come to the bakery many times. It is one of my favorites. The onion roll and the apricot Danish are a few of my favorites I get here.

This place is on the way from Honolulu airport to the Waikiki area. While they have stores closer to Honolulu like Ala Moana, or even Waikiki, this location is bigger I think. It's quite big inside with plenty of parking just on the lot outside. Again, coco puff version of the cream puff is popular but they have a huge selection of bake goods as well as restaurant cooked food. For pure cakes, I like Tiny Pyramid better just across the street from this store.

Super yum! Great place to experience local foods and famous pastries in Hawaii (aka the cocoa puff). I recommend the fried rice Loco moco and you can't go wrong with the Pancake or waffle (it's thin and crispy as opposed to Belgian). The menu at their other locations varies, I definitely rate Nimitz higher than Waikiki, but I still need to try ala moana.

Food was pretty great, we came twice. Quite busy but we were able to entertain ourselves by browsing through the selection of pastries available. Would come back if I had the chance.

Delicious delicious delicious!! John at @outriggerreefwaikiki recommended this place and we went twice before leaving Hawaii. The food chicken and breakfast were awesome. The loaf of bread with butter and cookies from the bakery side were bomb!
