What a great place to visit. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the place was super cute. Def would go back !
This is one of those place you find out by word of mouth. Though they essentially made the mai tai famous, you wouldn’t know it based on its location. None the less, the atmosphere is exactly what you would want for a tiki bar. Don’t expect a breeze coming off the water in the summer months. It does get quite warm.
The service was hospitable and nice. The food was awesome. Great flavor and presentation. The mahi was a tad over cooked but still good. I will come back to this place.
Can you say tiki bar? This hidden gem is quite literally hidden in an industrial area north of Waikiki, so we would never have known about it unless a local (friend) had taken us there.
On a marina, hence the name, this place screams "tiki" inside and out. The drinks are reasonably priced, umbrellas and all, about $6 for a pint of draft IPA, $7.50 for a mai tai, and $6.50 for a piña colada. The only downside in the bar was my wife's pineapple juice that came from a bottle instead of being fresh squeezed, as it should be in the pineapple capital of the world. The bar and restaurant are both open to the marina, so there are plenty of sea breezes and views to be had.
The food is also reasonably priced with a nice selection of salads, seafood, steaks, burgers, and chicken. I was in the mood for the Prime Rib (12 oz - $26 and 14 oz - $27), but I prefer the end cuts. Unfortunately, they were out of end cuts at 5:30 when we arrived, a bit odd considering how early it was, so they get a 1 BOMB deduction and I had to order a steak. The eight ounce Sirloin Steak ($20) with pepper gravy ($2 extra) came with a small scoop of mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The steak was perfectly cooked and very tender, the gravy savory and peppery. Not a bad steak for $20. My wife's Sauteed Scallops ($20) came in a butter sauce with sliced mushrooms on top of a bed of linguini and topped with parsley. The six scallops were nicely browned, a cook Gordon Ramsey would have been proud of, and the sauce light, yet savory with the linguini cooked perfectly al dente.
It would have been nice if the dinners had come with soup or salad, but a small side salad or bowl of soup can be had for a mere $4, much less than most other Honolulu eateries. They only bring you one bread roll each when you arrive and they look like they come out of a plastic bag, so the least they could have done was warm them up. The scoop of mashed potatoes was also rather small, not quite enough to match the steak or the prime rib had it been available.
A bit less than perfect, La Mariana Sailing Club has a charming Polynesian personality and is in a great location with good food and service at a reasonable prices ... HOOAH!

I went on National Cheeseburger Day and as a Parrothead found it necessary to checkout this place. I started with cocktails and ended with cocktails off their list. I partook in a few Zombies. The burger was alright, but the decor was great, and the drinks were amazing. Overall, I had a great time!
The best tiki style bar we found in Honolulu (and we visited heaps) La Mariana is the real deal and has history worth reading into. The atmosphere, cocktails, music, and service is excellent but unfortunately the food wasn't great - not bad, just not great. The dishes we had didn't match the flair of the place. Still a must do when I'm Honolulu
On our trip to Honolulu, we ate here two times. It's an amazingly eclectic piece of Honolulu from the 50's!! I love the decor and the food ain't bad either! The garlic edamame is to die for! The drinks- I had a piña colada, were well made! I highly recommend La Mariana for anyone stopping in Honolulu!!!!
Great ambiance! They have music at 6pm. Really cool place to take visitors.
This was the perfect way to cap off a trip to the island. The atmosphere is a throw back to a sneaky hip Honolulu of old. The people are wonderful, the drinks are strong and the Ahi is to die for. This is now a must stop for our future trips to Oahu.
Another 5-O place. Food is great and atmosphere is something right out of Hawaii 5-O. Marina and airport right there just waiting for the deal to go down.... Lots of industry in the area to complete the look but it's safe and well lit.
Just AWESOME! A MUST go and eat and see!. Perfect way to begin our vacation. Super good Mai Tai's and Zombies. Food was good too.....fantastic environment. we just love this place and will return as many time as we can!
Looking for a rustic by gone setting. Has to be one of the best kept secret in Honolulu. If you are looking for the non typical tourist place to go; this has to be the place. Atmosphere reminds you of an earlier time. Good food, friendly service
We were looking for an authentic tiki bar experience and found it. We started with a couple of my ties and the ahi poke was delicious. The fish and chips was okay. Our server Chelsea could not have been more pleasant. Great place to watch sports as they had a number of televisions featuring sports ball.
This is a wonderful hidden gem. The staff are attentive and friendly. The menu is simple but delicious. You cannot beat the ambience of this place and I look forward to coming back.
La Mariana deserves better reviews. The atmosphere is natural a 10 and service was wonderful. Everyone was so nice.
As far as food, you just need to have expectations set. This is not a gastropub, some cutting edge kitchen, or a high end restaurant. That said the food was excellent 👌 We had the ono fish and chips, fish tacos, and shrimp cocktail. Everything tasted good, better than we expected.
Last, and most importantly, the drinks! Amazingly good, strong and underpriced. I'm honestly surprised the bar isn't packed. I can only assume it's because of the off the beaten path location. This place deserves to be on all itineraries for visitors and revisited for locals who may have forgotten about it.
Fun little bar near the airport. We had a long layover and decided to have some dinner and drinks here. They were out of tuna so most other options were fried. We had the nachos and shrimp cocktail. Drinks were great! Mai tai with 151 on top!
Our first time back since Covid and the remodel. Gorgeous! Our band Intoxika played here on Monday nights from 2018 till March 2020. Now...there is no where to put a band. 😭 The remodel took care of that. Surprised that more attention was not paid to the restrooms...but serviceable.
We still have fans ask when Intoxika will return to LaMariana.....
We wish Judith and crew well in their business recovery. 🥰
Always stop here to/from the airport because the location on the water and atmosphere are perfect. Just annoying that they were out of Ahi (in hawaii?) and mostly everything else is fried, so it's either sandwiches or pupus, and definitely need more staff to help keep up, but everyone there is always friendly and tried to keep up with all the tables and orders.
We ate lunch here today. Last time we were here was Sept 2022 and we weren’t thrilled with the ahi on our salad. However, we asked about it today and the bartender helped us figure out that we needed to order the Cajun seared ahi for the salad. We did, and it was spectacular. Just like before the pandemic. So fresh and tender and perfectly spiced. The salad was fresh, too. Then we shared a shrimp cocktail which was also great. 8 good-sized shrimp that were very fresh-tasting (I don’t know if they had been frozen, but they tasted great). The drinks, service and atmosphere were excellent. You can’t beat La Mariana for authentic tiki bar atmosphere! We left as very happy campers.
The Tiki Bar of all Tiki Bar's. If it has been done. It was probably done here first.
This place is a must stop. Otherwise, can you really say you know Tiki?
Second time here. Staffing is much better. Everything is timely and tasty. We had the Mai Tai, Zombie and Navy Grog to drink. Chips and salsa, then onto the pork nachos.the a.ount of park was disappointing, but there was lots of cheese. Still love this place. Oh, I believe the refreshed the women's restroom too.
Great location right on the water. Perfect location to see the sunset. Indoor and outdoor seating. The waterfall table is pretty awesome for large groups.
I went everyday for lunch, the burgers hit the spot and so did the fish and chips
