Silky smooth ice topped with either natural or artificial flavors to give you a uniquely tropical flavor experience! Choose either from their pre chosen 3-flavor Rainbow shave ice, or choose your own 2 flavors. Keiki size is for kids 9 and under. Get the flavor that you like, you won’t be disappointed. Double check with the cashier if the flavor is made from real fruit or if it’s a syrup. Eat it quick before it melts. Plenty of parking and dining space at this location.

I love a good snocone so I couldn’t go to Hawaii and not get a real Hawaiian shave ice. The location isn’t far from Waikiki (maybe a 5 minute drive) so it was a great way to cool off after a day of playing in the water. The employees were very friendly and service was crazy fast. Flavors were yummy and the ice truly was like snow. YUMMY!

Best shave ice in Honolulu!! We came here when a cab driver recommended it. You order at the window (it can be tough to choose, there is over 50 flavours) and then she expertly crafts your dessert. It is melt in your mouth soft and I could eat this every single day. You know it’s a hit when locals and tourists gather together.

SOFT & melt in your mouth shave ice! Locals call it "shave ice" ! Yes it is syrup on shaved ice. Waiola does it right~ it's finely shaved , soft and with a perfect amount of syrup+ ice ratio. Consistent and classic. A large order is $5.00 and perfect for 1 person. You can select 2 syrup flavors. And they really have every flavor you can imagine. I really like the matcha cream and haupia (coconut) mixed together! The flan bowl is a must try if you like custard. Seating: ample outdoor seating available. Some shaded, some not Parking: there are 5 stalls along the shop available. People usually don't stay too long. I would suggest walking or riding your bike if you have trouble finding a stall available. Cute little souvenir shop where you can buy merchandise to remember your visit.

Best shaved 🍧 ice ever. Lots of flavors to choose from. They even had some Chinese plum seeds and other products for purchase. Sorry no photos. Too hot 🥵 to take pics....we just enjoyed our nice cold treat.

We really love the shave ice here, but our first attempted visit here this week was a bust because they were not open at 11 when the sign said they were opening. We waited for 10 minutes and there was no one there to open so we gave up and left with disappointed kids. So be prepared that they may not be open when they say they are. The shave ice is the smoothest and is well priced.

My father grew up with Waiola Shave Ice (at the original location on Waiola street). And he introduced us to this Kapahulu location over a decade ago. My kids look forward to a visit to this establishment whenever we visit my parents. They are young adults now. We scooted in at store closing hours and noticed there were some regulars there picking up an after-work treat. Opt in for the extras like ice cream, red beans, mochi.

Needed something refreshing after a hike at Diamond Head and this spot was pretty close. So glad I stopped by it as the shaved iced I got was amazing. I got the passion fruit strawberry and the colors were so pretty. The flavors didn't taste artificial at all. There was ice cream in the middle which took it to a whole new level. They have a little merch shop and I purchased a tote bag from them as their logo is so cute. Would recommend this place especially after a long hike. There was outdoor seating and a decent amount of parking in the area.
