Best shaved ice on the island! A local gem and a must stop whenever we are close by. Great prices and a nostalgic moment every single time. I recommend getting ice cream at the bottom to enhance the flavors on top. Waiola rainbow or another rainbow is a great beginner flavor for all the best but ice cream is a must!

Always a nice place to visit for a cold treat. Service is always fast and the ice is really shaved. There is an assortment of flavors and the sizes are good for their prices. Would say has quality that is better than Matsumoto from the north shore. Just a personal opinion.

This is one of our favorite shaved ice place! The place is decorated very cute and the selection is abundant. The shaved ice itself was pillow-y and has a really good texture. With the mochi and ice cream, it was a good combination. However, I wish the flavors were a bit more strong as when the ice started to melt and become a slush, the flavors became diluted and not good.

Probably tops the list of shave ice on Oahu for us. We enjoyed several flavors, mostly the tropical syrups, which was made quickly despite the line out front. This store is iconic and has several signature flavors to prove it. Although I have a favorite elsewhere, the flavors here weren’t overly sweet and ice quality was very fine, not icy like other stops. I’d recommend anyone in Oahu to give it a shot.
Parking around the neighborhood was easy enough.

The BEST place for Shaved Iceeee! It was a little corner shop where you lined up and ordered from a side window. There were 2 small benches outside for you to sit. Service was fast and don’t let the line scare you.
Even for one person, I would recommend you to get the bowl instead of the small cups as the syrup won’t be able to cover the bottom of the cups! Their shaved ice was superrrr smooth and the syrup tasted so good. No artificial or chemical taste at all! Topped it off with +$1 condensed milk was totally worth it and cannot the missed!

So... I was able to visit my BFF that I haven't seen in over 10 years💜 We BOTH have grown up in Mo'ili'ili with that being said, Waiola Shave Ice was a part of our lives when we were little and have fond memories with our Dads 💜
Personally... I prefer their shave ice over others because of the 'melt in your mouth' kind of ice. And...those flavors 😍 I ordered a large with Mango, Blue Hawaii and Creamsicle with a Condensed milk drizzle 😋🤙🏾 Personally... I could have eaten TWO more😁

Waiola's shave ice definitely has the lightest and fluffiest ice out of all the places we've tried so far! (not chunky)
Our favorite flavor combo has got to be their strawberry cream and lilikoi syrups with condensed milk on top to seal the deal! (Pictured below)

On Oahu, this is the spot to hit up for Shave Ice. It’s cheap, it’s tasty, it’s cold and soft, sweet and delicious. Made the rookie mistake of ordering smalls, should’ve went bigger! They were pretty small! But it hit the spot. Next time larges for sure!! Parking is limited at this location but we lucked out. My Lilikoi/guava was excellent and refreshing! Will be back!

Waiola Shave Ice is our family's favorite shave ice place! I always recommend this spot to any friends visiting from out of town too. They have all the yummy flavors and toppings you can choose from. My personal favorite is the shave ice bowl with lilikoi and strawberry flavors, mochi balls, and ice cream. They also have a shop in the back with other goods for purchase. Oh, and their parking lot is a good size! 👍🏼 Highly recommend, especially during these hot summer days.

Excellent options to choose from. The employees were very nice and welcoming and very helpful! The store was clean and they have snacks here as well as beverages. You can't go wrong with the shaved ice here though. It's super delicious and refreshing! You can park on the street or park in the lot next to this building for 15 minutes max. Would highly recommend this place!

Let me start by saying I’m not a shave Ice aficionado in fact I think this was my first time having a shaved ice. Walking up to the counter was a bit overwhelming as there are so many choice’s. The line was long and I didn’t want to hold it up so I let some people pass. I chose to go with custard shave ice with the original flavor. I loved it the custard was buried in a mound of coconut flavor shaved Ice. The serving was large and the flavor went through and through. Would absolutely go back.

The shaved ice was refreshing on a hot day. We got the Guava with Lemon-Lime flavors. It just melts perfectly with each bite. Surprisingly, smooth tasting. It did not disappoint.

I used to live in Waikele and thought the little shave ice cart outside Lowe's was the best thus saving me a trip to the North Shore. Only now I've been driving around McCully-Moiliili area and found Waiola street and this hole in the wall shave ice mom/pop store. Simply the best. Melts in your mouth!
The Chinese ladies I've seen have this old fashioned shave ice machine but their blade must be super fine or their ice special... we get the large cup, but I think will downsize to small... though some kids get the suppa bowl to hold all da mochi balls... the styrofoam bowl is a take-out saimin bowl! So beware! You will have da best brain freeze you can get �

I started going to Waiola Shave Ice back in 1985 when I would push my toddler granddaughter through the neighborhood. It was always our favorite stop especially when we were on the way to the McCully library or to the park. Time went on and I moved off of the island. Whenever I come back to Oahu I have to stop by and get a shave ice from Waiola Shave ice. It brings back good memories and is still the best Shave ice anywhere!
