I ordered food just for me and spent 35$... grits were not cooked...full of cheese sauce not to good of a taste...any way I was totally over charged today...I only went to get a taste but my expectations were let down. The drink was pretty good. And I'm My family food critic..1 star. The food on left is what I have worth salvaging in my entire order. On the other hand on the right this is going to the dogs. The grits weren't cooked thoroughly. Should of went to Mickey D's. Sausage egg and cheese biscuit. 35$ what a mess. Spent all that and half of that went to the dogs wasted time and money.

This is our family favorite BBQ spot!! Today we stopped by and had the pleasure of visiting with owner Sam. My mom, Patricia (Mangina) Portera’s wish came true: To meet Sam and spend time with family enjoy the Brisket Sandwich and BBQ sauce and talking about special times. We were so impressed with the vibe of the restaurant, friendliness of staff and excellent food. You can make your foodie memories here with friends and family.

Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Very small area though. When it's busy it's hard to pull chairs out to even get out of your seat to leave. Food is good but I wouldn't say great. However, breakfast is amazing. And the okra is awesome as well. This place is a Homewood community Staple though and the owners are very active in community betterment and the business is involved in sponsoring schools and athletic teams. Facilities were clean. Definitely recommend.

First timer!! Carol is amazing!! Her hospitality and personality made this so much better! Pictured is the pulled pork plate with baked beans and mac and cheese. Somehow, the baked beans disappeared! 😂😂 Hubby had the brisket with grilled veggies and onion rings! The veggies had an amazing smoky flavor to them! Absolutely incredible place, people, and atmosphere! I cant wait to come back and try breakfast!! Thank you Carol for everything! ❤❤
