Great food and excellent service.
We stopped here just by chance on our way to visiting our family in New York. It was so good we stopped on our way back home because the food truly was delicious and service excellent. We had crab cakes, lobster bisque, and grilled cheese sandwiches along with coconut cream pie for desert. Love this restaurant and quintessential American town.
One of the overall best meals I have had anywhere in the area. Between the two of us we had calm chowder (beats all of the famed Boston Clam Chowders) Shrimp Cocktail (classically perfect), Dashers Filet (I want another as soon as possible) and NY Strip with Bernaise sauce. Oh! and the focaccia bread with honey butter is salt and sweet perfection!
We would have had profiteroles for dessert but had no room.
I will take the hour trip to Homer as often as possible.
Stopped here because it wasn't far from the highway and reviews were good. Wasn't disappointed great service and the food was excellent. The Colorado sued and turf (lollipop lamb chops and scallops) was delicious. Highly recommend.
Great food and great service. Friendly and helpful waitstaff!! Highly recommend!

First time here and was very impressed! Looking for lunch after strawberry picking. Amazing menu, great, friendly service, fabulous lunch! Can't wait to go back with friends and family. Worth the drive!
What a wonderful first visit we had to Dashers! EVERY one of their staff were phenomenal and the food and beverages were outstanding! What a bonus to find The Verve Pipe having dinner there before their concert that we went to. Just can’t get any better than this! Thanks Dasher’s!
Always love going to Dashers. Great staff, and delicious food. There hasn't been anything I've tried that I haven't loved. The chicken speedie salad is a must try!

Up visiting SUNY Cortland, a and the ladies at the hotel recommended this for dinner. They were spot on!
Tableside guacamole was pretty good. All fresh ingredients, and it had a great flavor.
I had a London burger. It had Stilton blue cheese, and it was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium-rare and they delivered it medium rare. The only thing I wish I would have done was upgrade the chips and salsa to french fries
My daughter had a plain American cheese cheeseburger.... she said it was cooked properly, and delicious.
Vikki had a a burger with a port wine reduction, and mushrooms. She also said she wished the chips that came with it were upgraded to fries.
The boy child had boneless wings and said they had a great taste but weren't spicy enough.
All in all we will be back any time I come and visit I will be here. The food, services and atmosphere was excellent.

I stopped at the town of Homer just to have a break from my interstate drive and Dasher’s Corner pub caught my eye. I knew nothing of the town or any places to eat. Once inside I felt at ease, the tavern has a great feel to it and staff were friendly. I liked looking at the lobster/ sea food theme that made up the decor. From lobsters at the tap to lobster jars.
I had the lobster brisket and lobster newburg, both had great flavours and prices. If I am ever back in this area again I will come dine here once again. Btw their draft local beer was very good too.

Drinks from the bar were lovely! They definitely don't skimp on liquor. Food was also quite nice. No complaints, really. If I could go 4 1/2 stars, I would but this isn't Star Search. 😉✌️
Excellent food. Great variety the menu. Staff is super friendly without being overbearing. Warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!! I had the New England clam chowder to start and for my entree had the Texas BBQ burger which was cooked a perfect medium rare.
Great spot. Must visit, it is a must. Great food and family like environment. Wings are to die for!!! Loved the “I love the patches above the bar” Great job.
Favorite local restaurant. Just celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary by eating there tonight. We had their famous clam chowder, surf and turf and ended with their delicious chocolate mousse..
Great food! Great service (I sat at the bar) and HOT DAMN! The clam chowder! I’d drink it out a pint glass.
Our visit to Dasher's was amazing. The food: Absolutely delicious. The presentation: Perfect!. The service: Spot on! It was an unforgetable dining experience. Additionally, the food portions were very generous.
I have heard about this place for years with rave reviews. We had a concert in town so decided to finally check out the place for ourselves. Before going we checked out the menu and was amazed by how many items I wanted to try! Table side guacamole 🥑 freshly made was delicious. Italian style steamers were delicious, a tad big for my liking and would have liked more garlic, but still good. My wife had the NY Strip and though she likes her steaks more well done, it was cooked perfectly and delicious. I had the Steak Diane, cooked perfectly also and delicious sherry sauce and mushrooms, mashed potatoes and shaved brussel sprouts. Had enough to take home. The waitstaff was so friendly and accommodating even though we got there late for our reservation due to being in a back up due to an accident on Rt 81. Liked it so much we booked another night in a couple weeks for another concert with friends. Once we got to our event at the Homer Arts Center, we discovered that Dashers provides the dinners for all the artist that perform there free of charge! Those artists are pretty lucky !!
Very cool old timey place, went here for my first time today for lunch. It was spectacular, best lobster bisque I've ever had hands down. Also had the best and biggest single filet of cod battered as a fish n chips. I subbed the frys for a Ceasar salad and that was decent too.. Will definitely be returning to this place, what a gem. I'll might try dinner here in the next couple of days and I'll report back with pics of the food. Definitely a must try place.
Ended up going to this place around 10 more times after writing my first experience review here a few weeks back. It has not changed my mind at all, only reinforced my original evaluation. I had dinner last night and at first I was amazed that this place still has prime rib left at 9pm when I arrived after getting off work late. I usually end up going to places that have that on the menu as a special and 95% of the time they are out of it when I try to order... Not dashes, they cook a whole prime rib every day for dinner service. As good as the lunch menu options are the dinner menu is even better. This prime rib dinner was absolutely perfect, I also got to talk to the owner and head waitress/bartender Tonya, a very nice conversation and reinforced my pleasant experiences coming here. I actually had lunch here earlier in the day yesterday and it's good enough to come back for dinner, plus it's one of the only options in Cortland/Homer that is open past 8/830pm besides college bars downtown. I also had the clam chowder (see picture) that was superb, the owner offered me some of his liver pate and even that was delicious even though I wouldn't have ever ordered that on my own. The bar was great and had well mixed margaritas, correlajo was the booze of choice that night and it was great paired with dinner. 5 star experience every time and if I could give them 6 stars I would due to thier consistency on food execution and friendly service. Will be returning many many times in the near future and I highly recommend anyone reading this or considering going here to give it a try... You won't be disappointed I can guarantee it.
Dasher’s is such a hidden little gem! We stumbled across it on our way home from Cortland and we’re pleasantly surprised at how cozy the atmosphere was and how delicious the meals were. I honestly can’t wait to go back. Next time I’m ordering a whiskey sour so I can see the old fashioned cocktail shaker in use!
The menu is incredibly varied, the wine list and beer list is great because they have a lot of local New York state things on the list. The atmosphere is great I Sat outside two nights in a row with my dog and had a very good experience. The service was very good, the food was high quality . The music was great, The first day it was like 70s Côte d’Azur than the second day it was like 50s 60s hits. I’m a bit of a music fan so that means a lot to me. Little did I know that my waitress for the first day was also the manager of the entire restaurant and it’s very obvious after speaking with her for a brief amount of time how much she cares about the business. We talked about the difficulties of running a business post Covid and I found her to be very interesting. She made me feel at home like I was a local introduced me to everyone at the bar and just generally elevated my entire experience. I wish I could spend a few more days here so I could eat here a couple more times there is so many great things on the menu I’d like to try. I highly recommend the beef carpaccio. Thank you Tanya for making my stay in Homer memorable!

First time for me and second time for my husband. I had the AMAZING clam chowder soup! I wanted to bring home a gallon of it. The best clam chowder I have ever had and that's not an exaggeration. My husband had the prime rib and potato soup. He loved it. WE WILL BE BACK!!!
Very cute and nicely appointed corner bar and restaurant. Our waitress was nice but did not check in on us much (we were outside on the patio.) Food was great and reasonably priced though it did take a long time to arrive on a Friday afternoon. If I were in the area I would return. One suggestion - put sturdier tables with umbrellas out front.
First time visiting and our experience was great. Great food and a nice indoor atmosphere as well as outdoor seating. The homemade focaccia bread was amazing! I ordered the summer scallops - the scallops were lightly seasoned and I enjoyed the crab and corn risotto but it was a bit bland for my taste. There's always salt and pepper right? My dad got the fish and chips. The fish was a generous portion as well as the chips and he enjoyed it. I tried a bite of the fish and I really liked it, well seasoned and not soaked with oil like some fried foods. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee and the warm apple crisp. Dad enjoyed the apple crisp, and the creme brulee was great as well. I prefer my sugar a little lighter but that's just me. Overall it was a great experience and I will be back for sure! This review is solely my opinion, you should try everything for yourself!
Driving through this town on my way to Montreal. The lady at the front desk of the Holiday Inn recommended this place. She said, "It's so good". She wasn't lying.
I highly recommend the clam chowder!
