Family of 9 so we went about 5 and were seated immediately. Drinks and appetizers were served quickly and then shortly after the main entree. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Even the kids! Cute decor. Nice atmosphere.
Delicious seafood bar with beach view! They have live music at night, corn hole, and plenty of seating. Very friendly staff, t shirts you can buy, and fun decor. Ahem, other than that, the service was awesome. The atmosphere was good. My only issue was how packed it was, but I saw that nobody was sitting on the roof. They let us sit up there & it was GREAT! You have the ocean view and a nice breeze.. NO BODY HEAT lol.

Food was good. Crab cakes had very little filler which was great. They have a good menu that has a lot on entries that aren't fried. We had 12 people including kids and they took great care of us. Get there early, there was a waiting line by the time we left.
Fun place to go for supper. Had there steamed seafood pot. It was very good. I split mine with my wife and we were both satisfied but if we get the chance to go back I will probably get it for myself. Very kind and responsive wait staff! Excellent food to boot! Stuffed flounder etc. Also a live band that knew a lot of 1-4-5 chord songs. Lol.
LOVE this place... It is a must at least once every time we come to Holden Beach... Every dish is fresh and delicious... Serving staff are super fantastic, know the menu and help make this the experience we've enjoyed and look forward to every trip!
We come to Holden at least once a year and we go here every time. Everything we’ve had is amazing and the atmosphere is so fun and beachy! They have fans but just beware it can get HOT up in there.
Even though my wife's family has been visiting Holden Beach for over 25 years (I've been going with them for 6 years), we've never been to Castaways.
