The portions were large. The meat was well seasoned, not over or under. The meat was served hot on a toasted roll that was soft to bite into. The fries were light and crispy, not too salty or greasy. The second picture is my 11 year olds. He saved the second 1/2 for later.
The place is clean and smells like mozzarella and not grease. The staff is friendly and sitting in the restaurant I found they great the locals my name. That’s nice.
The place was clean and pleasant. It was not crowded when I went so I was able to order quickly after scanning the menu above the counter. It was Thursday so I took advantage of the $8 any cheese steak deal, ordering the South Street. That and a fountain drink ran $11 and some change. There was a little spear in the basket, as well.
It was fresh, hot, and delicious. I will be going back to try more of the menu. Definitely worth a try.
Hands down, this is the best place to eat on the island. It's tucked away so it took me forever to realize it was here. I had the Reuben and the Caesar chicken salad wrap. So so good! I got the Caesar chicken wrap twice that week. This place is a hidden gem and the people here are friendly. My family and I will definitely be back next trip!
Friendly customer service and generous portions for fair prices. The large nicely toasted sandwiches are big enough to share, but why not have leftovers instead? Recommend the onion rings instead of the fries. If we had known, we would have taken advantage of the $7 Thur. special, but the Groupon also provides a bargain.
They were out of wiz for the old fashioned, but I had the broad street steak with fries. Pretty close to what you’d get up north and delicious. Even served with big bottle of ketchup. Also found out that kids eat free on Saturday!
Our fist experience eating here. Very easy to order & great service. Sub was hot along with the phenomenal onion rings !!!! The young lady with glasses that was cooking in the back deserves a raise as it was obvious she was doing a great job of running the show. Will definitely visit again !
Excellent Philly and similar sandwiches and salads. French fries are outstanding! We really enjoyed lunch there on a Saturday. They were fully staffed and we got our food very promptly. Would return anytime.
Really good food! And not super expensive compared to some others in the area! The Firebird is awesome if you want a good spicy sandwich! I got it with a little bit of their hot sauce and their house ranch, great combination!
This was the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich I have ever had, hands down. The meat was so tender and cooked just perfect. Sourdough bun was soft and wonderful. Grilled onions also perfect. Tasty but not too crisp or too chewy. Didnt need to smother everything with cheese to hide so bad tasting item in the sandwich. Perfect is the only word that does justice the food here.

When someone says phillys has the best sandwiches on the island, BELIEVE IT!!! They have amazing food! My kids, even the picky one, LOVED their food! I had the Spruce Street which is a Philly sandwich and it was amazing! Hands down, the vest sandwich I have ever had!! The price is very reasonable as well and it is definitely worth more than they charge! The staff is also extremely friendly and they were freak with my kids!! I highly recommend Phillys if you want some good eating for a some what quick lunch stop!!!

I wish I could give 10 Stars!!! First time eating here but definitely not the last. I got the Spruce Street. The bread was so soft and fresh. The meat was well seasoned with just the right amount of cheese mixed in. I think I tasted a hint of Parmesan?? Onion rings were so crispy and packed with flavor. The ranch dressing OMG!! It’s got to be made in house. Everything was delicious. It was more like an experience for me….that I did not want to end.👍👍
