This restaurant is amazing! We found it last year and came back to eat here again. Their dishes are truly unique and delicious! Absolutely love the Shimp and wild mushrooms cobbler! Wife says the homemade Thousand Island dressing is the best she's ever had. The Key Lime pie was tart and yummy! Music

This was our first time at the Backyard and we both agreed it was the best meal we’ve had on the island in two weeks! The lowcountry fare is rare and a treat for those of us from ‘up north’. Word or warning, if you want to come here for dinner there will most likely be a line up. We were a group of six and it was a 40 minute wait when we arrived at 630 on a Monday night. So we decided to come back the next day for lunch, when the place had far fewer people and no wait.

We had a great experience here! We came in at 2:15 and they were able to accommodate us and our food was served quickly and steaming hot! We were out at 2:55!

The shrimp and grits, forget about it! No, wait, you'll never forget about it. You'll dream of them in your sleep they are so good!

It hurts me to give them four stars but my last visit was not as good as the two prior. I love the shrimp and grits and I more than love the purloo, but for some reason I tried the meatloaf sandwich. While the side of collards was amazing, the meatloaf wasn’t great.

What a find! This tucked out of the way place is great! My husband had the shrimp and grits (really good), I had the shrimp blt salad (yummy). We also tried the banana pudding and key lime pie. Both were great, my favorite was the key lime pie. It was better than what I had in the Keys! If you go
