This is actually a frozen dessert place!!! They sell ice blocks and it looks like a factory outside, but the store on the side is a great dessert spot! They had the best flavored popsicles (with real soursop and mango flavor and bits in the popsicle) called "paletas". Never had it before, but it was great. I tried some ice cream too. Haupia flavor was solid. Both were great prices compared to what I'm used to on Oahu. I think if you're 2 people, you should just do the 6 paleta special and try as many flavors as possible. Friendly aunties working there too.

First off...know that on Saturdays the ice cream-popsicle portion of this operation IS OPEN from 10am to 4pm and NOT 1pm like Google maps show. Glad I walked by today anyway. I really want some Ube-haupia ice cream. Otherwise, best locally made ice cream and pops or popsicles...super clean facilities too. Best location to stop and take load off from meandering in the park...😋

This place was DELICIOUS and made our visit to Hilo. We tried the soursop, the OMG (orange, mango, guava), and got the lilikoi and the guava on ice to bring home (can’t wait to try those!) I only wish I’d been hungrier for ice cream and more paletas. I’m always a fan of fresh tropical fruits, and this did not disappoint. Also such friendly and nice service. HIGHLY recommend!

My "Aunty" Kay brought some lychee paletas over for my mom and I to try. Wow! We loved them! They were very sweet, but we thought they tasted wonderful. The lychee paletas had pieces of fresh fruit in them. They were heavenly! My mom and I loved them so much that we wanted to share our "discovery" with our friends. We went there today and bought 36 paletas as gifts for friends. Pandamonia's Paleta Palace has paletas with and without dairy. The left side of the case contains dairy, and the right does not. (I only took a photo of the left/dairy side of the case.) There is a large selection of flavors. The current seasonal flavors are lychee and mango. Another popular flavor that is not seasonal is the passion fruit (lilikoi). The woman there, Lianne, was very friendly, warm, and kind. We had a wonderful conversation with her. Lianne packed the individually-wrapped paletas in Ziplock bags with ice for me. That was a very considerate touch. Pandamonia's Paleta Palace is located at the ground level of the Alii Ice Plant. At first I went up the stairs to what looked like a window, but it was actually at ground level on the right side with tables and chairs outside. There is a door to enter and order. Inside is small but charming, like an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. They also serve ice cream, but I did not look at the ice cream flavors. I was too focused on the paletas. I'm sure the ice cream is wonderful, too! I highly recommend Pandamonia's Paleta Palace for paletas or ice cream! What a hidden gem!!!

Love the pelatas here. They have both dairy and non-dairy options available that taste divine. We tried Mango, Passionfruit, Matcha, Strawberry, Coffee and also Horchata. You should definitely check this place out if you’re in Hilo. Make sure you check what days they are open since the are closed on Wed & Sun. That May be subject to change due to the pandemic. We also tried their old fashioned sodas and malt, soooo good. Love this place and LeeAnns’ always friendly customer service.

We got the Chili Mango, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Calamansi (seasonal) popsicles. The staff were very friendly and descriptive of the different tastes. The popsicles were super delicious and refreshing!

This is Hawaii's only remaining classic soda / malt shop in the State of Hawaii. A hidden gem where you can get delicious sundaes, malt shakes and classic old school sodas. They also specialize in "paletas" or frozen fruit bars made in-house from fresh fruit. The staff are super friendly.

We randomly found this place after taking a stroll around the coast/park. Saw the sign that said some thing like 200 steps to ice cream, so we counted and arrived at Alii Ice Co. Both ice cream have really deep flavor and rich. Just the right amount of sweetness to it. The banana nut had a pleasant surprise crunch to it :)

Hands down one of the best finds of the Big Island! The paletas were SO good! The strawberry cream was the best I’ve ever had! Also their shaved ice was HUGE—we could barely finish it splitting it with my wife! Prices are great and staff was the kindest of humans! Definitely worth stopping by to support the local shop!
