Decent prices. Good food presentation. I don't eat raw fish but I loved the sweet potato tempura rolls and Teri chicken. I would skip the fried rice next time and go with Jasmine as I wasn't impressed
Great sushi and cozy Japanese-style atmosphere with a variety of traditional and specialty rolls, as well as drinks and desert. We had edamame, miso, the Alaska roll, and the Kona roll. I especially like the Alaska roll because it’s a relatively simple one with salmon, avocado and cucumber.
Great sushi place to stop by while in Hilo. Everything was fresh and delicious. The perfect snow sake was really good too.
Reminds me of home (Yokohama). There service is outstanding. The restaurant itself has an open, friendly atmosphere, the restroom is wheelchair accessible. Then of course, the food. One of the best chicken katsu I've had.
Decided Sushi for dinner and they did not disappoint! Family had a feast with the Hawai’i Boat they enjoyed every piece. I, on the other head had the Tofu teriyaki and it was also amazing.

Fast and excellent service! The food came out quick and was delicious. The rolls were flavorful and filling, large servings, and excellent presentation. Make sure you add cream cheese, it added so much more flavor to our rolls!
So we came in about an hour before they closed.... The atmosphere is just a little dark but we didn't mind...

We just loved Sakura Sushi & Grill while we were on the big island recently 😋. The 🍣 was fresh and the menu extensive. Professional and friendly service felt welcoming. We ate here twice in our 6 day stay. It will be a regular quality sushi restaurant on the island for us.
Fast service to be seated, get food, refills on drinks, and the wait staff are fast to clean up too! Came around lunch and had the lunch special with 3 rolls- it was kind of plain to my taste the selection, so next time I will try one of their specialty rolls. Their green tea ice cream is delicious
We randomly came accross this restaurant but it was really good. Unagi don, sashimi, dragon roll, fried banana with ice-cream, all are great!
The food, staff, and atmosphere is terrific. It's better each time I go. Seafood tastes fresh and presentation is beautiful. We love their chirachi don and cold tofu!
Sakura’s was great. They accommodated for our party of six, we had two tables pushed together. Our server was awesome, she kept saying excuse me when she was approaching our table so we could give her our attention. The food was excellent as always. Stopped in on a day trip to Hilo, and this was hands down the best sushi we've ever had. We quite literally finished 3 rolls in 7 minutes. It was priced better than the sushi we get back home as well. I recommend anyone go here if you like sushi.
Sakura is by far the best Sushi restaurant in all of the Pacific Islands. The owners are great people and personal friends of 8 years. All 4 restaurants are equally superior and affordable.
