Our tour took us here where most of the people on the shuttle purchased sandwiches. They must have an agreement with the tour company.
It’s essentially a convenience store where they make fresh sandwiches and you can buy drinks and snacks before you go on your way.
People weren’t especially friendly, or were they rude or unfriendly. Nothing spectacular; nothing bad either.
I did like support a really local small business.
This place has the best Pastrami Sandwiches on the Big Island! I’ve eaten them in quite a few places and no one beats this Manono Mini Mart. I have Pastrami on Sourdough with Sprouts, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions and Pickles on the side. I just love their Sandwiches! Super Yummy 😋 Mouth Watering Lunch and Good Prices❣️ 1-10 scale- I give them a 10 🤙 … plus it’s really close to the Wailoa Park.
By far the best sandwich place in town! Sandwiches come with lettuce, sprouts, tomato slices, onions, cheese, bread of your choice, and a side of pickles. They have a variety of classic sandwiches and don't skip out one the main ingredients. I love the large tuna without sprouts (while breastfeeding), my husband orders the large chicken salad sandwich, and a plain hotdog for our 5 year old, 2 bottle drinks for a total of $24. Right down the road is Wailoa State Park where you can eat and enjoy on the rivers edge. Great place to grab some lunch for a great price!
I'm an employee of this establishment and before I became part of the "ohana", always got a smile and great conversations from the staff...they make you feel like you're part of the family and it's amazing
