Best poke shop in Hawaii! Mahalo Chef Ernie! My favorite is the Shiitake Salmon, Marlin poke combo with sweet potato and crab! So ono every time!
Absolutely incredible! Everyone behind the counter was super nice and gave us some samples of all their poke before settling on the Tako with sweet potato, crab salad, and sushi rice. If I lived here, this would be a several times a week stop. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!
We ordered the large poke bowls with extra protein and this big fat is the smallest poke bowl we had on the whole island and probably on the more expensive side at that. The fish was very fresh and liked the purple potato salad as a side you normally do not see. It is also only a pick up window, so you will need to find a place to eat. There is a beach near by it is also homes to some urban campers as well. Overall, would we come again, no… lots of other option in town.
Delicious poke. Quick service and plentiful bowls. Definitely try the sweet potato salad! Just be prepared to take the food elsewhere to eat it, there is no place to sit.
I recently had the pleasure of Poke Market on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, and I must say, my experience was absolutely amazing! From the delectable food to the warm and friendly staff, this place truly exceeded all my expectations.
Let's start with the star of the show: the food. Every sushi bowl I tried was an absolute delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. Ernie, the owner and master sushi chef, truly showcases his expertise by using only the freshest ingredients. The quality of the fish was outstanding, and each bite transported me to a culinary paradise. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just a casual fan, you're bound to find something that will tantalize your taste buds.
Not only is the food at Poke Market exceptional, but the customer service deserves a special mention as well. Ernie, the amazing owner, goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer leaves satisfied. His passion for his craft shines through in every interaction, and his dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is truly admirable. Ernie's friendly and welcoming demeanor creates an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest.
The entire staff at Poke Market radiates the famous "Aloha" vibe that we all love about Hawaii. From the moment I visited, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The attentive and knowledgeable team made excellent recommendations and catered to my preferences with a smile. Their passion for their work is evident, and they continuously strive to make each visit memorable.
In conclusion, Poke Market is a hidden gem that I can not recommend enough. With Ernie at the helm, this establishment raises the bar for both quality food and outstanding customer service. Whether you're a local or a visitor, make sure to treat yourself to a visit to Poke Market. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Prepare yourself to embark on a delightful culinary journey and experience the true taste of Hawaii at its finest.
Super tasty poke. We ordered the “all- star” which was delicious. The potato salad was a nice twist. Fresh fish. Good quick service. Only downside is nowhere to sit, and not much nearby. We ended up sitting on a retaining wall nearby.
Best poke I've ever had. I had the all-star bowl because it was my first time and I wanted to try a bit of everything. The ube potato salad is ridiculous. Wish I could come here every week but sadly I have to go back to Cali :(
Best poke on Big Island! Fresh, tasty and delicious. Strongly recommend for everyone, especially for those who have never tried it.
It's a little shed attached to the building. No obvious street parking until you get there and see parking is allowed in the little fenced area next to the shop.
Staff qas friendly. They said it would be a wait since they had to prep the tuna, but it was only a couple minutes. Not really something I would have even considered a wait.
I shared an "All Star" bowl with my two daughters, one of which is just learning to like sushi. This helped her on her way to enjoying it further.
I almost went back for a second bowl. I may actually do it on my way back to the car after shopping.
We tried a few different poke shops around the big island and I think this place was the best even though the other places had long lines and this place didnt. The flavors just tasted better. and the presentation was nice too (vs just plopping it into a bowl like the other places). Would def go back ! There’s no indoor dining/table & chairs so we just found a quiet area to sit and eat.
Super fresh, melt in your mouth poke! Get the All-Star bowl to try it all in one, I added avocado and no unagi sauce.
What a great place. We ordered a Poke Birthday cake for a celebration.
It was so delicious, huge and they did just like we asked. I only wish they had offered some soy & wasabi. We missed out on that !
