Husband got the famed Loco Moco and I got the Island Girl (shrimp & teriyaki) plate. Portions were filling and a decent price. The shrimp was really tasty and I'd happily eat a whole serving of just that! The teriyaki was served in large slices and was extremely flavorful, the rice was perfect (almost like a sticky, sushi rice). Loco Moco appeared to be an egg on top of a hamburger patty or sliced of meatloaf, served atop a beef of rice and covered in a tasty, brown gravy. I wasn't able to finish my serving, and surprisingly the Loco Moco satisfied my spouse's much larger appetite. Would eat here again.

You can get local Hawaiian style food here. In search of halal food (virtually non-existent in Hawaii) we ended up here. We tried fish Loco (which is white rice, a decent piece of Mahi Mahi fish, and sunny egg on top - the gravy is made with beef so we requested not to have it). We added soy sauce or hot sauce to our meal to give it some flavor. It was an interesting experience and value for money. We also ordered miso soup which was also good. It's lovely to see locals get their food from the same place and support locals. I recommend trying this place. On Friday they also had poke nacho which we didn't try but seemed interesting. There is space with tables/chairs to sit outside and eat. Many folks did take out. Lots of parking space.

Last time we were on The Big Island we were introduced to the Loco Moco. My wife did some research and discovered that Cafe 100 might be the originator of the meal Loco Moco so we had to try it! Drove from Kona to Hilo to enjoy that side of the island but specifically to try Cafe 100 Loco Moco. Definitely glad we did - it was great and the regular size was a perfect amount for a lunch meal so we could stay active and keep moving the rest of the day. Before I leave I’ll have to have a BIG ONE and then take a nap. :)

Order from the windows, and the dining area is under cover. The Loco Moco was delicious.

Came for the Moco Loco. I am not a connoisseur of the Moco Loco dish, but in general it seemed good. Basic counter ordering and simple tables that are first come, first serve. Food comes quickly and is hot and tasty. Decent prices as well. Many other items on the menu, hence the name Cafe 100

Delicious home of the loco moco. We got the loco moco - which is the definition of a “sometimes food”. Delicious though. We took it to go and enjoyed them at home.

I like this place a lot. If you are looking for a quick and fast local Hawaiian cuisine, this is the place you should go. Price wise is also cheap and very reasonable. We went back there twice because the food is good - quite satisfying for the tummy, I’d must say. This is your very own local comfort food!

Mostly for takeaway now but they do have seats available for dining on site. Ordered their corned beef and Super Loco Moco and was wowed by the food.

This is the kind of take out food I really enjoy! Perfect amounts, great prices, and ono oh so tasty! Come here during lunch and expect to wait a little bit. Although the front window service is fast, they do get a lot of peeps coming through here and the parking lot shows it. Before just walking up and placing your order, stop and admire all the handwritten items and specials plastered all over the windows. Lots to chose from! Personally ... It's THE place to get loco moco on the Big Island, but if you've read any of the reviews here, you already know that. There's just something in their rice and their gravy that tops all others. You find very reasonable prices for the amount of food you will receive. Because there's not a whole lot of seating, we usually take our food to the park just down the street. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious local food at reasonable prices compared to other places on the island. My pic is midway through destroying my Super Loco Moco. Soooo tasty! Masks are required to order at the window for takeout and you can't sit outside at the restaurant, but if you walk past the building in the back, there's a park area next to a pond (connected to the ocean) with a picnic table. That's where we ate and it was very nice.

Cafe 100 and their Loco Moco were recommended by several locals and didn't disappoint. The Island girl (teriyaki plate) was also awesome. Not fancy, everything just tasted great, with fresh ingredients, and was filling. Dining-in involves some outdoor picnic benches and a Porta potty.

This is a long standing local eatery. All the classic local food you need. Loco Moco options are extensive. The standard Loco is smaller than you might expect, but still good for the price. The line and wait is sometimes long. No outdoor seating.

A wide variety of food that you order at window and take away. Also, call orders in for pick-up available. I had Chicken Katsu and Stephen had large Loco Moco.

Great value - limited outside seating under cover. 4 people for $35. Bargain prices. Steak and shrimp for $13. Loco Moco for around $6. Double bacon cheese for $5.50. Quality meats. The only thing better would be adding shakes.

Our first time visiting this place because it's the spot for Loco Moco I was told. We arrived early evening and it seemed to have a pretty good flow of business, good sign. It's a fairly large building with a BIG sign so finding this spot wasn't hard. Plenty of parking too so that's always a plus. We ordered the Loco Moco, Fried Fish and a couple of other items, $42 for 5 people so it wasn't expensive. The Loco Moco was good but I was expecting a bigger portion. However, for the price it was a good amount. The patty and Eggs were cooked how I like them and the Gravy was tasty. The Fried Fish was ok but the Tarter Sauce tasted off to me. As for the other items we ordered, I didn't get a chance to try them before they were devoured by everyone! Would we go back? Probably but I'd order something else to get a sampling of other dishes they offer.

Fantastic. Came here twice. Simple Hawaiian fare at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking and places to sit. Good customer service and so so many options to choose from! Really great value for money. I had the beef stew, poi, grilled Ahi (fantastic!!). But apparently they're famous for their loco moco
