Makani's Magic Pineapple Shack - Hilo - Photo album

Great place to grab a yummy smoothie or açaí bowl. The freshest fruit and quick service. Will definitely return.
This was a fun little shop to get something cool and refreshing on a warm afternoon. The staff was friendly and fun to interact with. Lots of good choices from the menu and everything was quite tasty. Would like to go back to try an Acai bowl
Loved ube soft serve the best, tried passionfruit topped with fresh pineapple it was so refreshing. The bowl was almost too cute to eat.
Best açaí bowl I’ve ever had. I tried so many açaí bowls on the big island and in Kauai and this one was by far my favorite. The consistency was incredible!! My husband loved his smoothie as well. Highly recommend.
We stumbled upon Makani’s for an early/easy lunch our first day in town. The food was delicious and the service was amazingly fast, considering most places take forever with their açaí bowls. We loved it so much we made a point of stopping again the next day before we left the area. Highly recommend
Good smoothies and ice cream, can't speak for anything else since that's all we got. Could be a little cleaner inside, but it has a good atmosphere. The prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. The kids loved their unicorn ice cream.
Great service, friendly and delicious treats. Always one of my favorite places to stop and get a delicious treat.
I truly enjoyed the Ube soft serve in a waffle cone. It has a unique flavor and beautiful purple color. Highly recommend!
So fun! The acai bowl and ice cream were delicious. Some of the old reviews and pictures showed small food but they don't have that anymore. Maybe not the best bowl we had on the island but certainly the most fun!
The sandwiches here are quite large and very delicious. I consider them as two meals in one package. Smoothies are alright, their Ube and dragonfruit soft serve ice cream is divine. Popular spot with a que, definitely worth the wait.
A great place to have smoothies, they are using real fruit. We ordered one pineapple & mango & one taro? Sweet potato? Smoothies. They both taste great but the taro or sweet potato is too sweet. They are a bit pricy, small is $9 large is $11. Overall a good place for desert.
Wow, super cute place. Such creatively delicious treats. I wish I was able to try everything. I ordered the dragon acai bowl to go. Normally they give it to you in a smaller bowl so they can tower all the ingredient on top. Almost too beautiful to eat!
Walked by this place and saw the açai bowls so I had to grab one. A shame the place closes early but that seems common around Hilo. I grabbed a large Cookie Monster bowl to go. Energy before a hike! The bowl was massive, I should’ve grabbed the smaller size since my husband didn’t help. It was reall
Our family of five from Texas and Oklahoma visited Oahu and the Big Island for Spring Break! Before our trip, my daughter saw an influencer post about the Magic Pineapple Shack and this was my daughter’s one Must Do while we were at Hilo! She Loves acai bowls!! She ordered the Aloha Bowl in the Pine
We had açai bowls and smoothies — all great! Very fresh and fast, and the prices are fair for the area.
If you’re thinking “should we make a stop here or not”? you definitely should! The ice cream is delicious and flavorful! The music they were playing was happy and you just couldn’t help but sing along. We got the unicorn and dragonfruit cones both were really good ☺️ If we’re ever in the area again
