Sombat's Fresh Thai Cuisine - Hilo - Photo album

My husband and I couldn’t stop saying how good it was! All of the vegetables tasted fresh and he said the eggplant in his was the best he’s had. All in all some of the best Thai we’ve had. Great service, we loved Sombat and the gentleman there helping at the counter. Great food, everything was perfe
The staff was really friendly and nice. Pad thai was my favourite, pineapple rice(curry source) was for my husband. Crazy portion….. 2 main dishes with 1 starter(spring rolls) seemed more than enough for 5 people honestly. We’re still full..!
The lady who helped us was very nice. She gave my nephews free sodas and was so helpful talking through the food with us. We enjoyed everything we had: green papaya salad, crispy spring rolls, banana rolls, lettuce rolls, green curry and a tofu appetizer. Her homemade chili sauce was spicy and wonde
My goodness! What a gem! We ordered about 30 mins before close & not only did they accommodate us, but they even added extras. They were so kind and hospitable. Food was ready fast, even when we added fried spring rolls at check out. I had a noodle dish which was good, average Thai to me. However, t
This is one of two best Thai restaurants in Hilo. I’m a dedicated Thai Food affectionate…and 8 year local resident. Just trust me…This place and Tina’s Garden Cafe are the only two places I go to at this point. Give it a whirl!!!
Great Thai food place, taste was unique, fresh, scratch made food. Great staff, eco-friendly, the grow some of their hebs. Place it's a little bit small, but no big deal. Restrooms are out side of the restaurant, not to close tho.
They are takeout only for now, from 4-8p. Ordered green papaya salad which was refreshingly delicious, Kang Penang with chicken was also yummy, and pad Thai with shrimp. All were very good and their medium has nice authentic heat. They even let you select Thai style hot. I’ve been to Thailand and T
I’ve had both their red and yellow curries, and both have a brilliant flavor. Their portions are large too, making it a great choice after a busy day.
Ordered mild chicken pad Thai—pleasantly tangy and sweet tamarind flavor with peanut, egg, carrot, green onion, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles! Nice big portions and good flavor makes it worth the price tag. I think I’ll try medium spicy next time, and perhaps ask for extra sauce!
Sombat's offers authentic, delicious Thai food. The food was extremely fresh and flavorable, and the portions were very generous. Our waiter was the best and made our experience even better. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Sombat's.
Frequently take out only! Check the website before you go! The full menu is online and take-out runs about 15-25 minutes. I usually try to order right at 4 for pick up. I love their pad Thai and curries, and the coconut soup and spring rolls are awesome. Satay is on point as well. Not many misses he
Excellent Thai food. Great service and friendly staff! Small quaint place.
Food was tasty and there were enough vegetarian options. Our server was also very helpful. He also customized the dishes. They had very clear photos for differentiation between different spice levels. The only issue was that we found a hair strand in our food and it was not a lemongrass fiber.
After a long day exploring Volcanoes Nat’l Park, we were hungry and looking for a delicious and filling meal. Sombat’s did not disappoint! I was bummed to see that they only offered takeout, but I was too tired to keep searching for somewhere else to eat, plus places were starting to close. We gladl
Take out after our day in Volcanoes National Park. Friendly service. We loved the Curry.
Take out only on weekdays, great service, generous portions, but $20 for pad Thai is a bit of a splurge 😆
Great food. The server was working at supersonic speed and the food is very tasty. Lots of vegetarian options. The spring rolls were our favorite. Just a side note, although they have mentioned the spice level in an chart, we found the medium spice way too spicy. It can be a little deceptive so go f
