Izzy's Pizza Restaurant

This place is fine for a family dinner. Something for everyone, literally. It's one of the few really good salad bars left in the area. The servers are always friendly, willing to get refills for you or whatever u ask for. And there is always plenty of immediate seating. The fried chicken, if fresh is pretty tasty. Always juicy and crispy with a wonderful flavor. The chicken nuggets though, were overbreaded and hard to eat. My hubby said the buffalo ones were just vinegary, not hot at all. The pizza selection on the buffet is usually pretty good but u have to get there fast. It goes really quickly! If u do snag a slice though, omg! Delicious, crisp crust with just the right amount of doughiness in the middle. Carmelized pizza pan grease ... plenty of cheese... just YUM! And OMG these delicious pineapple upside down cakes???? These are seriously heaven. Carmelized crust, flakey cake, the pineapples on top surrounded by carmelized sugar...if there was ever a reason to buy a pizzeria for your own....this is the reason! All in all, a great meal but not inexpensive. Hubby and I with two drinks was close to $36, before tip.

From what I can tell and from what I've been told, this place is usually great. The service is pretty good and the food they had out tasted good. As of now, during this whole covid debacle the selection is very limited and they can't make a lot of food at a time with it being so slow. They do take the safety of their guests very seriously though. So, even though I probably won't go again during the lockdown, I can't wait to go when it's totally up and running.

Just called to see if they're open for dine-in and the person who answered the phone said that they're dinning room was opened. Show up and it's take-out only. Would leave 0 stars if possible. If you work in a restaurant it's your job to know what is going on in your respected responsibilities in the restaurant. This place isn't going to survive Covid. Which is sad since I've always had a good experience here.

On Wednesday February 12 at 2pm we decided to visit this location. Upon entering we were greeted by the friendliest gentleman and seated. I believe he was the manager or someone in charge during that time. We had been to Izzy's on the coast in Newport once before and it was not a pleasant visit; the location was an absolute mess and the food was all mixed up and low in supply. This location was very, very clean and inviting. The food selection was fresh and topped off at all times. The salad bar was amazing, it was cold as there is ice all around each selection and the service was outstanding. A young girl and the manager frequented our table to ask if we needed refills or anything else but they were not bothersome. The employees were busy at all times considering there weren't that many customers at that hour but each and every employee was doing something and not just standing around. We were very pleased with our visit and although this location is 2 hours away from where we live we do plan on visiting again. I highly recommend this location for it's great food selection, cleanliness, friendly staff and affordable price!
