Cream.

I just met Jeremy (one of the owners?) this morning as we were passing through Hill City. What a treat to see his joy and passion for ice cream and coffee. You won't go wrong trusting Cream with your taste buds (and treat budget). I ordered an off menu item and he didn't disappoint! Attention Hill City locals: do not miss this true gem! Shop local and keep these fine folks in business! I just went back and got Sam Elliot's Moustache, and it is phenomenal!

Can we talk about this Blue Butterfly tea? It's amazing. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. (No butterflies were harmed in the preparation of this drink.) Also, the coffee is great- try an Aussie Iced! The ice cream is fabulous and the flavors are fun. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have inside and outside seating, as well as water and treats for your four legged family members. If you're in Hill City, GO TO CREAM. If you're not in Hill City, consider making the trip to check this place out.

This ice cream shops pulls their espresso from a LaMarzocco so you know they mean business when it comes to their coffee. They make a well-made 8-oz (“small latte”) and also had French-pressed coffee brewed and ready to serve. Plus the homemade ice cream comes in a number of inventive flavors and is *real* good.

Wow! This homemade ice cream is phenomenal! Their flavors are amazing! Between our group, we had several flavors Huckleberry, Sweet Grass (coconut), Key Lime Pie and best of all Black Licorice! We will be back! If you are in Hill City, you should stop! The prices are reasonable and besides ice cream always makes everyone smile!!

We recently visited the Black Hills area, and Hill City was just a short drive away. We went to this ice cream shop twice and my wife, kids and I really enjoyed the ice cream. Their availability of flavors seems to change rapidly, and they have quite a selection. The problem I have is, on our third trip to the shop, they didn’t have any of the flavors that we enjoyed on our first two trips. I was trying to decide between two of the available flavors and asked to sample the cake batter ice cream as I didn’t know what to expect. We were told that they do not provide samples, and would have to just choose blindly.. When I am paying almost $9 for a double scoop waffle cone, I would like to know what I am getting. And this is after we spent over $60 on the first two trips to the shop! Needless to say, I didn’t purchase anything on the third trip.

I appreciate an ice cream place with 'different' flavors, but when you offer unusual flavors you need to offer samples. Ice cream at Mt. Rushmore has a few simple flavors and offered samples; Cream has strange flavors and did not. The wooden spoons also felt inadequate for eating hard-packed ice cream. Our group liked what we ordered, but given the lack of 'normal' choices and their tasting policies we would not come back. Even just a couple basic flavors (vanilla, cookies & cream, chocolate) would help. Disappointed after seeing all the high reviews.
