Review 12 Farms Restaurant - Hightstown

(CASH ONLY) Good Service, and even better food! Love the vibe as if a small cafe met a rustic restaurant. The food was very good we went for brunch, the fresh squeezed orange juice was good. They bring out the coffee in a French press which is a nice touch. Food and Presentation were on point definitely check this place out! (CASH ONLY).

We *stumbled* on this today, our 39th Anniversary! Honestly the quality of the food is indescribable! Superb!Everything we tried was beyond excellent! I loved everything about this place. The quaint downtown location, rustic decor, local produce, music from my era and volume just right, the wait staff were kind, sincere, patient, personable! We met the owner, Jason ...wishing him all the best! Danny Meyers would be proud! I'll be back when I drive from Maine to Florida this winter!

Awesome meal! We live close by and have been wanting to try 12 Farms for a while. Everything we ordered was really good. Everyone was friendly and the service was perfect. We will be back… often.

We have been customers of this establishment for about 3 years now. The food is always consistently amazing. The chef cooks every ingredient with care and every dish is a work of art and a tasting adventure. Kudos to this small restaurant - the little engine that can xxx

What an absolutely amazing staff, location, and dinner. My wife and I stumbled in by chance and enjoyed every minute. We shared a meat and cheese platter that was so fresh and delicious then she had a steak and I had the duck. The steak was so tender the knife almost felt unnecessary while my duck was so tender and juicy I hated to finish it off. We finished the evening with coffee and dessert. I had a key lime pie while she had the almond pie. Both kept the pace with the rest of the meal and did not disappoint. While I highly recommend this restaurant it does come with a caveat. Dinner here is not cheap. Though we did enjoy everything we ordered it was a bit of a surprise to leave with an almost $200 bill. Now we know but no definitely don't regret.

8/26/21Went for dinner last night and the food was incredible!! We love this place so happy to have found it! 7/31/21 Stumbled upon this place tonight they were very accommodating to our last minute reservation. Food was unique and delicious 😋 Can't wait to go back to try the Brunch menu next!! We were so hungry I didn't take pictures of our food but I got the dessert!!

My buddies and I randomly selected 12 Farms while driving on the turnpike (going home from the Belmont Stakes) and are quite glad we did. Two of us had burgers (the OG) and the special (like the OG but with blue cheese), one had the cheese plate and one the seafood platter and farm skillet. We all left quite full and really impressed. They made room for us even though they were hosting 3 different showers, and provided us with pleasant and attentive service from start to end. I'd highly recommend it if stopping through Hightstown or looking for a place to stop off the turnpike. As others posted, my only concern is the cash only aspect, particularly given the price of some items, but the four of us were very well fed for maybe $120 or so.

Good food but quite overpriced for the service place and interior decor. It’s not a fancy restaurant, it’s a byob more a cafe than a restaurant. It’s somewhat run down inside and needs TLC. The service was good and attentive. The food took 40 min to arrive. There is public parking in the front. We were driving from Baltimore to NYC and it came out to be a good dinner spot.

This is our new favorite spot.. The food is always fantastic. The wait staff are super friendly & completely on point. Love all the locally sourced products as well. A+

Place was cute. Service was excellent. They cooked their chicken perfectly. But they need an expo or someone to garnish and wipe each plate before it goes out. Every plate was just missing a hit Of parsley or chives. Most of the plates had food all over the rim. The corn chowder was good, no need for the large sloppy cuts of potatoes. The homemade pasta itself was good but the dish was soooooo bland! The chicken was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the local corn. The stuffed pork was also bad. There was no need to stuff it and that was also bland. As for dessert, they do have French press coffee which is nice. I got flourless chocolate tort with no whipped cream. Again, you need a hit of powdered sugar or cut up fruit. The plate was dirty and there was no presentation. But cake was good. The worst was the tiramisu! Just awful. We didn't even touch it after a bite each. Will probably not return.

Another amazing meal... Again tonight .. You must try this place....great staff, owners, chefs and the food is crazy good, slap your momma good... Byob or buy a bottle of wine there... Introducing a new menu this coming week to shake things up.... I can't wait to try it.... Omg amazing...

This place checks all the boxes,,the food is really really good, the server was funny, the crowd was animated..I was there with a friend from work and we are both "restaurant people" and we both enjoyed it immensely. We will be back..

From start to finish, this meal was unlike any other. Unique blends and flavors, gorgeous presentations, a foodies dream! Every course had us begging for more! Stephanie, our server, was incredible as well. We can’t wait to go back!

Everything at 12 Farms is top notch: the service, the cuisine, even the locally sourced wine. Yet completely unpretentious and welcoming. The setting is very warm & cozy - perfect for a rare night-away-from-the-kids! The chefs create a perfect blend of tastes and textures. The quail was the best I've ever tasted!!! Upon inquiring, I was told the birds are brined prior to pan searing. Definitely try the bread pudding with Porter ice cream as well!! I can't wait to go back!

Great service, delicious food, tea is amazing, & their coconut italian ice omg! Plus the ambiamce has a cool industrial charm!

Had a great dinner to celebrate Teresa's birthday today. We ate at the 12 Farms Restaurant in Hightstown, NJ. Everyone had an excellent meal. The food was fresh and flavorful. There was something for everyone on the menu. Everything was fresh and grown by local farmers. The service was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant. I would also like to wish the owner Rennie DiLorenzo much success. He definitely knows what he's doing!

The food was fantastic and the staff is so friendly. They were even serving our dog Rosa. Great place to go.

Fresh and flavorful, I love salt and no salt needed, flavors were excellent! Nice staff and chef came out to say hello.

Best fresh food I ever had. Even their orange juice is freshly squeezed! Definitely a place to go to if you want to eat fresh and healthy. Not to mention their selection of what you can put in their breakfast omlettes.

I loved that this gem was gluten free friendly and vegan friendly. All the ingredients are from farms in the surrounding areas. I got the Beet Salad and Chicken Normonde. Amazing food.

Friendly staff, superb service, delicious dishes, yummy desserts and great atmosphere! This past Sunday evening was our first experience dining here with my husband and we both really loved this place! Our server Octavius was extremely attentive and always made sure our glasses were full. We will definitely be coming back again!!! Thanks for the great experience and keep up the great work!!!
