Hershey Italian Lodge

Decided to eat there because it was close to our hotel and later in the evening. I don't really believe it is an Italian restaurant. It is a private club that just so happens to serve the public and they made that very clear when we went in. Waitress was less than pleasant. Sat 2 glasses of water down in plastic cups and never bothered to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Came back to take our order which were salads. I ordered a chicken salad that had to be the driest chicken that I have ever eaten. We felt like since we we not members of the club, we wasnt worth her time. Well that works two ways. It reflected in her tip! Do your self a favor a eat somewhere else. To many excellent places to choose from in the area.

Greeters were rude, but our waitress was fantastic. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the speed of the service. It was close to our hotel which was a nice convenience. Best homemade stromboli and tiramisu I've ever had. Would recommend for a quick, dine-in experience with great food that won't break the bank. We had dinner for four with dessert for $55 plus tip.

This is not an Italian restaurant. This is a club, and more specifically a member-centric bar, with food. And in our experience the food is really not good. We ordered caprese salad for the table as an appetizer. The tomatoes were mealy and if we weren’t so hungry we wouldn’t have eaten much of it. Our waitress Emily brought us some basic bread, but it still took us more than an hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. My wife’s chicken marsala was terrible. The chicken was tough and the rest of it looked like soup. Our daughter got the bowl of pasta, and said the Alfredo sauce tasted grainy and gross. My son and I both got cheesesteaks and they were dry and bland (my guess is from sitting under a heat lamp while the rest of our food was cooking). Fortunately our waitress was able to get my wife’s entree and one of the sandwiches taken off our bill…but it was still $60 for a 4-top and we didn’t even have beer! Emily really was the only bright spot, she was very sweet and obviously was trying very hard. Maybe it was the fact that it was New Year’s Eve when we ate there, but I would avoid this place in general. It smelled like a nursing home and the food was about as bad.
