The Burger Nook is a precious gem in Southern Illinois. Classic homestyle cooking that your grandma has prepared. My love got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was crispy and delightful. I got the super cheeseburger with French fries. It was a monster!! Loved it all, absolutely delicious!! Larry is a great head cook. Fast, friendly, and professional. 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Only the second time we've ever been here, but the food is great! My wife had the Book Burger and I had a breakfast platter. Staff was super busy so expect a wait from time to time. Arrived and sat for about 10 minutes before we were approached for our order.

Homestyle food with old time atmosphere. Consistently good. Wish they were open dinner hours though.

We just moved to herrin and figured this was a good place for breakfast we were very surprised our first time eating there was only 15 bucks, we started going more often the biscuits and gravy sucked but I found I could order biscuit with jam and that was fine. One day I decided to try a burger and didnt want any bread, I could hear the cook say this isnt on the menu and was being very rude about it the waitress, guess they didnt expect us to hear as we were clear across the way but we did. We havent been back since and wont be.
